I'm sorry...but I'm a gun owner because I want to be...because I can....because its my right.so this goes out to the ppl yelling for gun control ...who the hell are you to take my rights away...who says you know what is right, what is better...hell,most of you voted for bush...twice...so that should tell you to keep your mouth shut...here is a scenario :who say guns were outlawed 2 years ago..a man looking for a gun..but can't find any...so he makes a bomb....walks into sandyhook...and instead of killing 26npc ppl...he detonates the bomb and kills 700 ppl...so...tell me if you will stop the killing even after you take guns away....ppl were killing ppl before guns....and they will kill if they have a gun or not......so,that is my opinion

a bad guy with a gun can be stopped by a goodguy wit a gun, I dont agree that they should take away the rightto bear arms, i agree assault weapons should have more rules to control because honestly ppl have guns not just for protection but for hunting to kill their food and in this day and time its all some can afford, i thing hand guns are fine, shotguns and rifles are fine, got them myself i just dont agree with the reasoning behind assault weapons they should be for military only and further more the mother of the guy that went into sandy hook elem, had assault rifles and various amounts of weapons in her home knowing that she had a son that was mentally unstable that should be a situation that should be under consideration, if you have a family member off their rocker, dont have weapons like that...not only that you are right they could make bombs, use butcher knives axes and so fourth, terrorists took planes down with box cutters...come on really its not just guns

Sir, your ole 30.06 semi auto is an assualt weapon to an for more powerful than the "AR15". The looks of an AR15 want hurt you as as much as the reality of a 30.06. I don't want to get shot with either one.....just saying don't drink the" assualt weapon" koolaide to quick.

You think making ar15 against the law will keep criminals from having them?
I want one so I can protect my family and at least have a even playing field with criminals
Outlawing anything never works- do you know any dope heads?
Dope has been illegal for years but they still manage a supply - how can that be its illegal
You're just another idiot

What are you classifying as an "assault rifle", and how do you think that an assault weapons ban will do anything to deter crime when it did nothing the first time there was one?

No you don't, can tell you pretty stupid, but will give you benefit of the doubt, so go do your research an come back with how many murders in the US is committed with your so despised AR15 an publish on here what you find. Oh also how many vehicles are used to kill people via drunk driving. So since I think I know the answer, I'll give my "deadly assult weapon" when you give up your deadly automobile you drunkard. And if you bite on the drunkard statement, I will follow up with another post later, no you go do your research. Lol

The term "assault weapon" is sometimes conflated with the term "assault rifle". An assault rifle is a military rifle capable of selective fire. This may include fully automatic fire, where multiple rounds are fired continuously when the trigger is pulled and held, and/or burst fire, where a burst of several rounds are fired when the trigger is pulled once. In the United States, fully automatic firearms are heavily restricted and regulated by federal laws such as the National Firearms Act of 1934 and the Firearm Owners Protection Act of 1986, as well as state and local laws.

Actually it won't.
One of the main points for legalization in the first place was, there were too many women dying from back room ally, coat hanger type, abortions.
If abortion were to suddenly become illegal again. Those butcher shops would reopen.
