Lynn Taylor not a good candidate,in my eye. But I
did get a good laugh when I read the newspaper this morning, her speaking of her outgoing and witty personality. I live in the same community as her and I have never seen that.My vote would be Mason.

i know driving the church bus is a good thing and all but there are more people in this county that have worked hard and raised a family. i dont think that will get someone elected. i hear alot of talk of the oldham guy.

Clearly this must be the easiest elected job in Smith County.
10 people - Jerri Vaden, Hugh Thomas, Sherry Davis, Buddy Mason, Doug Oldham, Pat Nixon, Eddie Dale Sykes, Jimmy Mullinax, Lynn Taylor, Sam Reid.
This is going to get interesting.

How so, mee?? Using that logic, the sheriff's job seems to be "easy", as well. There are good people in both races. Don't know that these are "easy" positions, though. I will agree, however, it will be an interesting summer.

Are you seriously comparing Register of Deeds with Sheriff?? get real. I didn't say say being sheriff was easy. I said Register of Deeds was..go pick a fight somewhere else.

The people who make signs, bumper stickers and business cards are gonna see a big increase in business. The only positive thing I can think of in an election year haha

The way I read your post, it seemed you were saying that since the Register's race had "10 people" as candidates, it was "clearly" the "easiest elected" job in the county. The sheriff's race will have many candidates, as well. I don't think either is easy. I wasn't picking a fight. I know nearly all the candidates in the race I'm in. None of which would say they are looking for an easy job.

Eddie Sykes is most def. in I saw two signs in tanglewod today. I see him being a major player in this race. He has a banking background, and he knows alot of people.

i dont care who wins as long as its not Hugh Thomas, he was a substitute teacher at my highscool when i was a student and he was an arrogant asshole, excuse my language but he really was. one day in class he called a student an idiot without a real reason. definitely not someone i would want elected to any county position.
