Well just another insult to people of Carthage. I am not rude, I use a turn signal, no incest breeding as far back as before the Civil War( thats as far as I know) but am pretty sure we have no family inbreeding!!I take offense to your insult!!! I didnt have any posts but just checked to see if I agreed with the worst coach...but no its just a Carthage versus Gordonsville thread! I have never said people from Gordonsville are classless but insulting everyone based on a post of a few is not mature or classy!! Take your own advice!!
Stanley Wills was a bad coach......

All the coaches in smith county are a sorry excuse for coaches. We need to quit giving family and friends these jobs and go get somebody that can at least spell the game they coach. Only good coach in last thirty years was Rankin and he couldn't win state everybody else is just pissing in the wind.

Who was the guy back in the mid to late 80's who left coaching to be a bank teller? He would be my pick.

Jimmy maynord. He is unfair he should give every kid on the team a chance to play even if its 30 seconds.
It is called HIGH SCHOOL sports. This is not little kid football where everyone gets to play it is time to be committed and play. High school kids have to learn that your playing time is based on how much effort you put in and not just because you are on the team. Parents need to learn that not every kid is cut out to play high school sports (especially football).

That guy also won a state championship or two with pickett county. Parents are the whole reason or sports teams are getting worse every year. A coach can't be hard on a player now a days because a parents says it hurts their feelings. Show me one coach on any level that wins and doesn't ream players asses ??;; there is so much crying because a coach yells or raises Cain and their hands are tied. And the fact that parents have let their kids get extremely lazy and don't want coaches running them or punishing because of the laziness, so before you blame a coach you need to look at the dedication of the kids as well as the parents.
What a joke......he's pitiful

just a fan. if you know so darn much why dont you coach? if your not willing to do that then why you hating? the last time i heard there wasnt a lot of people knocking down the door to coach soccer? maybe you should just shut the hell up and be glad your school has a soccer team. if you dont like the coach then you should take that up with him and leave the team out of your personal vendetta's! you could be like us (gordonsville) and not have a team. SOME people should be thankful for what they have.... my opinion though

RICHARD ANDERSON was the worst football coach ever. He didnt have a clue. Had more talent than any coach and he wasted it. He was lost as last years easter egg.

Coach Thompson from back in the 80's could have been one of the best but he bolted after 1 year...and he left alot of kids disenchanted and upset. So I would put him there even though he had success in other states.

I second Noel Cherry followed closely by Jerry Link. They were more interested in cheer leading than football.
