What is your favorite childhood memory of old Sheridan?

I remember cruising from Hardees to Sonic...and center lanes. Ball fields. When the Yellow Jacket was Daisy Queen. The old restuarant in "Slab Town". Drag races.

Slab Town Restuarant was MOTTS. They has the best banana splits!

Horse back riding around Harrington Hill with John and Ramona. Going to the Daisy Queen for chocolate dipped icecreams. Running around Logans with Tina. Watching the Christmas parade and getting to meet Santa at the end.

watching Rupert Dorch roll up the sidewalks at 6...or stuffing bananas up the tail pipe of his '57 Ford patrol car.....

watching Ms. Hankins swirl around showing her garter belt and undies in the 6th grade....

the spinouts and drags from the Dixie Dip on weekends......

haircuts at Wrights barber shop.....

pops from the locker plant....coldest in town....

bulk candy from from the 5 and dime....

all the neat comics and stuff at Gartmans Variety....

fountain drinks at Boyles Drug Store......

Ya'll aint got a clue less you lived in Sheridan in the 50's & 60's......clean yards, clean streets, friendly people, never locking your doors at night, never taking the keys outa your car, everybody knew everbody....If ever there was a real Mayberry USA, Sheridan was it back then......

sheridan sucks when your stuck there your whole life.......leave it for a little bit and you realize sheridan aint bad AT ALL !! i miss my ol hometown !!!!!
