Alcohol & drug use are causing domestic violence. My ex was drinking more often but they lead to these crimes many of the times. People steal looking for money to buy these things. Police are doing their jobs by investigating allegations. No crime should be considered not a big deal seriously. Illegal drugs are illegal because they are classified highly addictive. I don't really want to imagine what our lives would be like if people took smoke breaks at work to smoke "pot". I would think that this would make the economy worse. It's bad enough that your friends at work get smoke breaks as you work your butt off & don't smoke. My uncle died a terrible death from smoking. He finally retired then four months later died. Makes you wonder why you spend your entire life working so hard to die from a drug that people thought was harmless at one point. Talk trash about people's religion it's not just about religious people doing good it's about good family values and I know non-Christians who don't use. I have to agree until you really need the police you obviously judge them by rumors. No one is perfect & it's a job where some get to stay & some loose their jobs because of their performance. That's no different than any other person. We expect them to be better than everyone. All towns are different & departments but I've had to call 911 & the police were there nice and they try to help u feel better about the situation. This is unrelated to my previous post but I think for the most part they do an awesome job. I have been considering a career change and I personally want to whatever I can to put criminals where they belong whether it's through forensics or setting up losers that sell drugs, I'm ready to help!!!! It's the only way we can stop this especially the drug dealers. I think communities should start telling on every single suspicious act starting with Facebook boy idiots post everything there. If u like drugs move to a freaking country it's legal & leave our country alone!! That's how I feel about it. If u are one of the ones that use and has a nice job it will catch up with you eventually u will be caught. You suck!

I'm an adult I should be able to use marijuana if I want and not have to worry about getting in trouble . Considering marijuana is safer than alcohol , cigs , caffeine , and advil . I could keep going . It's pretty sad that we put people in jail for ganja

Curious, you are a total j/o......Cops come to my house, I deal with them man to man, they threaten me or my loved ones, watch a calm civil man destroy all tyrants in my path. That's why I moved out of that pu++y town the baby cops are all wanting to beat someone up, then watch it on camera afterwards.....Monty, John and their leader Bill are all Nazi's and I have called that to their faces.....

Garnati does cover Carterville, as does the State Police.....Not giving too much detail, a bogus call...my wife gave that cop hell, she was on the porch and he wanted to arrest HER? I think the boy wised up, the carterville cops maybe has 3 good ones, the rest are bullies that need counseling...No Nepotism in Carterville? Count the Carneys, connect the dots....

Carterville cops will be tamed like Herrin Cops were after the Wynn beating. A lawsuit, not so good publicity...a bunch of firings, etc., My son had the cops called on him, over a dog issue, they wanted to tase and handcuff him, all because he asked "why"? I pulled in the driveway, called the 4 punks out and they left. Carterville cops single people out, then get off on beating the victims, that is a known fact, jack! I served 3 tours of duty in "Nam, and these cops are punks, wanna be thugs. And Frosty is mentally incapable of his office. Wait for the new Mayoral Election, Mausey is out as well as his flunkies. The missing Dericho funds sank Mausey. Look at Cannon Park, even the crapper hasn't been fixed, where are the funds, Mausey??

P.S. Your Grass Patrol guy (Jim Adams) is going to be fired as well. INVESTIGATION TIME and nobody will cover your tracks, Billy Mausey.

Heard the police department is in trouble for writing city tickets. Seems the court system not happy with the money going to the city instead of courthouse. SHOW ME THE MONEY!

HPD didn't have anything to do with Derek Wynn. The cops involved were county and Energy. HPD just took the bad press

Complaint should be made to the right people, has anyone contacted kfvs12 or news ch3? Its their job to be the voice of the ppl. If any of these claims are real injustice then the victums need to stand up and make some noise. I agree with letting police do their intended jobs and disagree with excessive force. I wasnt there so i can not give an educated opinion on what did or did not happen there.

Press announces what the Chief reports. Contact the stations to correct their reporting, they tell you they go by the reports of the Chief and press releases. Then you get called and emailed thru the kazoo by the stations/media you reported to, and basically harassed and threatened till you get sick of it and go away. That's the name of the media's game. A friend of mine reported several errors to a local media outlet, they threatened this person, and basically told him/her to keep their mouth shut or be thrown to the wolves. Welcome to AMERIKA. By the way, Carterville City Hall stinks to high heaven with corruption, and they ARE being investigated, I know this for a fact. Look for a key player to retire very soon for 'health reasons'.

Carterville cops made threats to my grandson, this was in the middle of the night, he kept telling them to lay off, they cuffed him, kicked and beat him, his wife got a call to me on her cell. I showed up, and I wasn't nice. After they ran his social security number, they had made a mistake, they made excuse after excuse, kizzin azz, one cop Glenn told me if I said anything, I'd be askin for trouble. I told the punk to bring it on. The next day I got a call from Frost threatening me me if I went public with this. I called him a punk. State and Garnati's office swept it under the rug, no reports or anything. My LAWYER is on this, Old Joe will not go away punks, I await the day you are stripped of your badges and you have to run into people you have wronged, welcome to the old west!
