Mitchell, Crabtree, Lind, Boyd, and Buckner are too busy promoting their own businesses, finding positions for our relatives, and bragging about what a great job they're doing to find time to mow the cemetery.

This mayor and council never stops making me laugh. They mowed the cemetery for the first time this year and they think they deserve medals and trophies for it! Never mInd it has looked worse than crap ALL YEAR!
If your car can stand the wear and tear from the potholes, guarantee if you drive by The Pub you will see Frenchie Irwin's car out in front while he's inside sitting on his ass drinking a beer on the city clock! Great use of our tax dollars, Bart! Oh well, at least tonight we can hear some more of what a great job you, Crabtree, and the rest of the knuckleheads on the board are doing.

Anyone wonder if we are still paying off the debt from the past mishap, misuse, missing $? I think a bunch of you have short-term memory loss! Look at the ones who left this city owing the water department, owing loans they shouldn't have taken out to begin with and so far in the red. I think some hard decisions were made and they weren't popular decisions. It's difficult to see the cemetary like that and there HAS to be a better handle on it, that is FOR SURE, but you can't sit back behind a computer and name-call and criticize the ones who have breathed life back into this town after the shape it was in. Maybe you are unaware of the financial status it was in. If you are, then you need to ask. If you forgot, then ask. If you know and still blame the present people, you are pretty thick-skulled. No one would want to go through the cowardly attacks that have taken place on this site and personally on their personal life, business, etc. It's easy to be anonymous and pick apart a person and what you "think" they are doing. Get some facts!
I think a lot of people should be charged with stalking, bullying and downright hate crimes and slander on here. Grow up!
I can guarantee almost of the people who have been posting on here are either running for office and are behind the ones running for office in the upcoming elections around here. Shame on you and your little ring of followers for your cowardly and slimey ways, but I wouldn't expect any better considering your past behavior and work ethics!

My memory is fine. Bart Lind and Jim Mitchell were on board the financial mess from its beginning to now. They just acted line they swooped in to save the day. Hate crime, are you serious?! I bet you had no problem with the viscous attacks Boyd and this group put on past office holders and employees. Seems you people can dish it out not take it. Opinions and satire are protected by the constitution. You seem to know as much about the law as you do city government.

I can guarantee you most of the people posting here think the present JC governments and their supporters have made a total mess of JC and they want the people to remember all the things this group promised and didn't deliver.

I know who has been in charge of the police and fire departments for most of the past several years with the workmans comp abuse, overtime abuse, and worst of all the child sexual abuse that was going on at the fire department. Who was in charge of the fire department while this was going on? Jim Mitchell. We don't need his poor judgement and lack of morals running this city.

Same old stuff. We are in debt. FLASH! every town in Ilinois is in debt. The State is in debt. The Federal government is REALLY in debt. This is all this group has every said. This is their whole political platform. OK, we had two years of their "learn as we govern". It's been a disaster. Let's elect some people this election with good old fashion common sense who care more about the people of JC than the bottom line.

Hard for this group to preach about being financially responsible when they haven't presented a treasuer's report in 19 months. Remember this is the group that promised to account for every penny.
