Sounded good until it said, "no outside food or beverages." WHAT?
I like going to the drive-in with my big bag of popcorn we pop at the house and a cooler full of soft drinks and other snacks, just like the old days. For the prices they are charging, people should be able to bring what they want. My family and I will continue to go to Keysville drive-in which is still by the car load.
All that aside, you still can't beat watching a movie at the drive-in!!! Memories.....

It was all good until I got to no outside food AND no smoking...you are in your own car and outside...guess my family won't be visiting there! We can stay home and get netflix for $9.00 a month and do my own food and smoke if I want. I'm with Drive-in Lover, should charge by the car and not the person, just as bad as going to the movies in a theater.

I would prefer you stay home with your smoke anyway. It is an open air type of event and I don't care to smell your smoke.
The prices are almost half off the typical movie theaters and well worth the drive.
At least they let you know the rules so you can decide whether to attend or not.
See you at the movies...or not.

Get a grip lady....everyone is entitled to their own opinion and smokers have just as much right as you do...so take your snotty remarks and have fun at the movies with your uptight self

I was looking forward to having the drive in to open but after I read there will be no smoking on the property, I just got turned off. That's why I don't go to the theaters in Richmond. I guess you just popped my bubble. I won't be there. I can understand no smoking in public areas but this is outside? Good luck, I don't see you making it work at all now.

So im in my own car and i cant have my own food. They crazy and who really will listen to that. When i was a child my mom used to pack our snacks in her purse and so this day with a wife and 4 kids we do that now also. what a wonderful tradition and very cost effective we love it. Eventhough i dont smoke i think it's crazy to tell someone they cant smoke in there own vehicle outside......that sounds crazy to me and i hate cig smoke too. Final point charging by the person is just as costly as us going to a local theatre and again I have 4 kids plus a wife and you gone tell me i cant bring my own snacks please.....again crazy

This is a great place to take your family --- the staff is very friendly and their prices are WAY below any other movie theater. We'll be back again.

It's been a few years since the Goochland Drive-In opened and they've proven these naysayers wrong.
Our family loves the place! Friendly employees, clean facility, and awesome atmosphere.
Movie theaters survive off their concession sales, with most of the admission revenue going to the movie companies. Their food is really good and their prices are cheap!!! Everything is under $3.75 (compare that to indoor theaters) Admission prices are $8 and just $3.50 for kids 4 to 11 --- and you get 2 movies!!!!
Regal charges $11.50 for one movie and it costs over $12 for just a popcorn and soda.
And for the past few years, they have had a smoking area that has worked out well for everyone.
The owner is a nice guy who had a dream to build a new drive-in for people to enjoy. He and his staff have done a wonderful job. We will be back again and again.

Who in the hell would pay to sit in their car and watch a movie, when they can watch at home in high def on a big screen TV. I loved drive-ins back in the day, perfect make-out spot for teenagers. Obsolete !!!

Well in that case I would prefer you shower and close your legs, nobody wants to smell rotting fish at the drive in
