It was a stupid set up to begin with. One game determines who advances after we beat the cardinals 5/6 in regular season. And infield fly rule - seriously.

Infield fly was improperly calld. Braves were robbed. That's baseball. Chipper slipped into bed with a Hooter girl (or two) last night. He couldn't care less

Hey that's what cost him his marriage long ago... those darn hooter girls. I remember him having to tell his wife he got a hooter girl pregnant down in Florida at their training camp. Imagine how much he dreaded that conversation. LOL

While acknowledging he is an incredibly gifted ball player who contributed greatly to the Braves success, I left the Chipper fan club long ago. I have only contempt for those who cheat on their spouses. However, he has those four boys now and says he wants to spend time with them. I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that he has matured and has his priorities in order. But I am very disappointed their season ended so abruptly.

Me too. One championship in 1995.(I was here and remember it)Chipper was a kid then. Hey I was born and raised in Boston and am a die hard Red Sox fan. I understand disapoitment from a sports team better than most.

At least the Curse of the Bambino is no more. And whenever a player boots a play badly, the conversation at our house always seems to come around to poor Bill Buckner.

Ouch.

I've enjoyed their championships. Buckner has been forgiven but, obviously, not forgotten.

I don't quite understand this new Wild Card sernario. I beleive if it is going to exist it should at least be the best 3 out of 5. Like you said we beat them 5/6 during the regular season, but you will have to admit the infield fly ruled in the 8th inning was not the death of the Braves season. I think the three errors played a BIG part to it. I do have to agree if the infield fly had not been called then we would have had the bases loaded with one out, instead of 2nd and 3rd with two outs and then we still would have had a GREAT chance to come back at that time. But we did lose because on only one game. I have been a BRaves fan since they moved here in 1966 and I will be one till the day I die, and I do hope they can win another World Series bnefore I die, Here's hoping.

My 80's braves could beat these current braves. Worst team I ever seen.
