Quite frankly it's so amazing to see how people whether black shin, white skin, bronze, or indian heritage react toward each other. It's so apparent that we as people still have some healing that needs to take place. We as people forget that when our skin is cut our blood is the same color....(RED)We forget that your opinion is not my opinion, we forget that the way you talk and act is different from how I talk and how I would respond.WE are so quick to judge each other and tear each other down! If we all begin to just take a look and acknowledge that we're all different and that we all should be treated equal, that is one of the ways we can start to mend the hatred and the malice we feel toward one another. We are just people...flesh. There are people from all racial background that are killers, rapist, thieves, child molesters, etc. Can you believe that there are really some folks trying to keep count to see if those folks are more blacks committing these crimes, or if they are more whites, etc. The bottom line is we are not perfect and people from all racial backgrounds screw up, don't they? Some black people must stop blaming & hating every white person they come in contact with. For clarification, this only happens because of the anger, bitterness and hatred they feel because of what your forefathers and mothers committed against their race. Can you imagine how people feel about Hitler?? White folks stop thinking that are black people are bad people, see each person as an individual! All black men are not out to kill white women and take your purses! All white children are not going to wake up and decide to blow up their entire school.
Let's start today by simply analyzing were we are as individuals and begin to have a new prospective about the world and they people we share the world with! Blessings to all!!

What a good point and very well pointed out. But to put it much simpler. A man once brought it to my attention that, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO RESPECT A PERSON FOR WHAT THEY HAVE OR HAVE NOT DONE IN LIFE GOOD OR BAD. BUT YOU SHOULD RESPECT THEM AS A HUMAN BEING AND SHOW THAT EACH TIME YOU MEET. MOST PEOPLE CAN SENSE THIS AND THAT IS WHEN YOU GET TO KNOW THE REAL PERSON. AND YOU WILL RECEIVE THE SAME IN RETURN. The man that told me this worked with inmates at a prison all his life. He found that it worked remarkably on some of the hardest people he ever knew.

And please God Bless us all!

One more quick thing and I will move on. I said a pray just this moment for you all. Please do the same for myself and others. It will only take a moment of your time, but the rewards will be priceless.

I went in there today to ask if I could return something with out a receipt but with the tags. They said sure but when I went back that night to return it, the store manager got huffy and would not let me return it. I told her I was told earlier that day I could. I will not go back.

I work at a Rugged Wearhouse in Kentucky, and we are very concerned about customer service.
Some people are just rude in general. It doesn't matter what color somebody is, everybody has the potential to be rude.
We don't accuse certain customers in our store of anything.
I'm nice to everybody that comes into my store, because I don't like people being rude to me when I'm in someone else's store. We work really hard to keep our store clean and sorted by different brands.
We don't get things just for black people...we carry alot of name brands that Goodie's and T.J. Maxx carries...such as Express and Self-Esteem, as well as Juicy Couture, Roca Wear, Aeropostale, LEI, Angels, Levi Strauss, Phat Pharm, Baby Phat, Apple Bottoms, and other department store brands. And compared to the department store prices listed on our signs...that's pretty cheap.
We make sure that our employees are polite and have positive attitudes toward their jobs. If not, they're not employed by our company for long.
I'm sorry that you had a bad experience in the Antioch store and the one in GA.
I do agree that corporate sometimes isn't always up-to-date with the needs of the stores or what the customers want. But at our store, we try really hard to help people find what they need while providing good service. ;)

Not sure what RACE, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS and TERRIBLE PERSONALITY has to do with FANTASTIC DEALS...but I wanted to submit this comment after stumbling upon this page. I was looking for the ph number to Cartersville's RUGGED WAREHOUSE location. I wanted to go there instead of driving all the way to Roswell today. I found RUGGED WAREHOUSE last Xmas season and was in LOVE!!! The deals and styles I got were FANTASTIC! I was so happy that I not only bought xmas gifts for my family, but I also spent nearly $1000.00 more in purchases for a non-profit xmas program for local families. SUGGESTION...FORGET THE RACIAL ISSUES & POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE NONSENSE...STICK TO FINDING AWESOME DEALS IN THESE TOUGH FINANCIAL TIMES!!! IF RACIAL FAIRNESS & GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE WERE AT THE TOP OF MY REQUIRED LIST...I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SPEND MY MONEY ANYWHERE TODAY!!!

It seems that maybe the employees at RW aren't racial after all..........heard yesterday on the scanner they called the cops to a 50 yo black lady for shoplifting!

She was put into the police car and met at the station by an ambulance, said she was having a heart attack!

its all logicly explainable, if you have 10 suspects
in a store and there is a thief amongst them are you to release 1 without the rest without question. clearly someone was smart in this situation because someone called law inforce ment to handle this. So let it go

I dunno anything about employees being racist.
I worked at one before and there wasn't much talk about it.
I decided I didn't want to work there anymore though b/c I live 34 miles from the store and when I was hired on, I was told I would get as close to full time as possible.
After the holidays I didn't get any more than 15 hours a week and eventually I was cut down to 5.
So I quit because I wasn't even making enough to cover my gas.
In addition to that, my fiancee had surgery and was laid off from his work. We went more into debt by me trying to get into work, even as I was putting my entire paycheck into my gas tank.
Not only that, but during Christmas alot of other people were hired on too and they quit because they weren't getting that many hours a week either. It took the store almost an entire month to mail out their paychecks...the money just sat in the office until somebody finally remembered to mail them out, so I don't expect to get my check until mid February. Which puts me in a bind waiting for MY money.
I've never worked anywhere so lazy with their employees. If I found another job, my former employers still had my check out on time.
Even girls that had been working there a year and a half were getting only 10 hours. And these people have kids to feed and homes to keep. I found work elsewhere so I won't lose my home and I'll at least have food to eat while my fiancee is recovering from surgery. It's ridiculous they can't take better care of their workers when they make sooo much money from the bargain shoppers.

Any of these problems above could have happened anywhere. Walmart Food Lion, The Mall, Gas Station. When a purse snatching happens or a child goes missing, Stores have to follow a procedure. Thats what Rugged Warehouse did. I live In kernersville Nc and our Rugged Warehouse is Neat and friendly. The employees are helpful and the store has great prices. I just bought 6 Free People Sweaters that Retail for $98ea for $1 ea.They are always having sales and you cannot beat those kind of prices. I will continue to shop there and laugh my way to savings. If you want to pick on a store you should take a look at Walmart. The last 10 times I have went in there they have not had the item I came in for. The employees are miserable and complain constantly. Nothing is straight and the lines are still to long. It is a hassle just to walk out of the store without being having all your bags checked, because you got a bonus and decided to spend some alot of money. By the way I am White. If That makes any difference. Oh and by the way, I Love GOODWILL too. Hope everyone stops judging the book by the cover. It time everyone to realize who we are and why we are here.

whats up with all this racism stuff? Personally, I wouldn't like cheerleaders in me store. They all talk loud and act like little b*tc*es. Rugged wearhouse is a lame store to go shopping to anyway>
