I will never step foot in there again.

A while back, we went in there during the day and that night the girls had decided that they had seen something they couldn't live without. Just b4 the store closed, I ran them over. I stayed in the car and there was about 10 people in the store. Somebody stole this teenagers purse. They wouldn't let my daughters out of the store.(the managers and employees) When they let one daughter out, she told me and I went in to get the other daughter. I ask them what was going on and told them that they couldn't keep someone there against their will. I waited inside until the police got there and they decided my daughter didn't take it and we left. There was about 8 irrate people in the store that night.

Today, We were at the cheerleading competition just a block away and had some time to kill. So we in go in, they take my daughters cheer bag and I am waiting at the door. I tell them I will hold her bag and 2 other people come in with diapers bags and big purses and they don't say a word!

I will never go in there again! What is the deal with these idiots?

Just wondering if your family is WHITE?

Most of the employees act like they don't like WHITE people.
Very rude one second to a WHITE customer, and be nice to BLACK customers.

Personally, I don't like the place much. I can never find much for myself in there. Except for the cheap sunglasses..

Racism is a 2-way street. Looks like you are the one that needs to grow up and realize this. You must be black, because it is Usually black people that holler racism. I don't know if the store employees are racist or not or if race had to anything to do with the way these people were treated, Black people think they are the only ones that can holler "THEIR RACIST". Get a life and get in the real world.

Most of the people at Rugged Wearhouse are pretty nice. I've had no problem at this store. Give the black employees a smile and say hi and they'll treat you nice.

I greet everyone with a smile.

I over heard a crude racist comment made by an employee one day about a white lady. And when she looked an noticed I over heard she just laughed. I'm sorry now that I did not respond back about how rude that was.

This was a couple of months back. Just curious when I read the first comment about the store if the person was white.

The 1st incident was the manager, a black man and the 2nd incident was a black lady at the register.

BUT I wasn't implying that it was a racist thing, I was just wondering if anyone else had any issues with the store. I have only stepped foot in there 3 x's and 2 of those you can see what happened.
I rate them a -1

Rugged Warehouse need to close doors. My experience was in the Antioch, TN area and they do not stand to the price that is presented. I would never go back to any of there stores.
A lot of the clothing price should be lower than they are selling it for. From my experience working through Federal Express and seeing rates on buck items. They are still not low enough. I will keep continue to shop at Walmart because they stand behide there product.

I was actually in Cartersville's Rugged Wearhouse today. I only went in to see how I would be treated and to see what they had and if there was any good deals. I was not impressed by the clothes at all, but I did buy some candles and dishes which had clearance prices. The cashier was a little slow to get to me, but once she did she was very friendly. I will not shop for clothes there, but for some household items I will.

The manager is not black he is white, however, his last name is "Black." So perhaps you may be confused. Most of the time the clerks are very helpful if you just ask. Especially the lady that is the manager over the ladies clothing, yes she is black.

OK, well there is a black man who is employed there and he was professional and I guess I just assumed he was the manager. I have no idea what his name is. But the other black lady I am referring to was at the register when I followed my daughter and her friend in.

I have only shopped in the Charlotte, NC store where there are all races employed. The race card is very played out by both sides. Black or White; ignorance and rudeness is what is is. Don't sugar coat and point the finger at either race. Everyone knows right from wrong and if you choose to be ignorant because someone is a certain color thats one you. I am black, and my motto is: All my skin folk, are NOT my kin folk.

I think maybe you should go back and read my responses, I said that I was not making this a racial issue. That I just wondered if anyone else had had the same or similiar experiences!

Rugged Wearhouse is a freaking joke. I use to work there and the executives of the company do not know what the F*** they are doing. The stores always look like a big dump. Store management always focuses attention to thug looking black people that come into the store, because anyone can go into the store and get out with anything they want without paying for it. As far as the rugged in Chattanoga, Knoxville, Fort Oglethorpe GA, Cartersville all S***HOLES. Their philosphy is get the crap out to the floor and let the suckers sort through it.

Some people get so upset over stupid things. You need to think they can't take a purse from someone and they can't take a diaper bags because most mothers use them as purses. Why don't you stop being so selfish and think maybe they are trying to protect themselves as much as possible. They have taken my bags before I understand I work in retail put you self in there shoes once and see how they feel by having to do such a think. It isn't very confortable. Do you ever wonder what they would say if they saw this on here???

Did you ever stop and think they are just trying to be quiet because the white person is being rude to them. I Have seen it happen myself there. I shop there all the time and I like the workers and don't think ther are racist
