I have had my last prescription filled at this teenager ran pharmacy. My last two prescriptions were either lost or I was lied to by the teenage employees, so be sure to check around for better prices and better service, be sure to check your medication it may be wrong also!!!!!!

Its hard to believe that school children can be in charge of calling doctors offices and taking refill info that could be life threatening to some people. But if you call and complain the phamacist (larry holt) only makes excuses for his staff. Thought the public should know, so if you use Holts pharmacy please use with caution !!!!!!!

Let's hear the story ! Its hard to believe you have to be without your pain medication due to the kids that work there, who hang up on you or lose your prescription or call the wrong doctors office for a refill. Then you call the pharmacy back and a kid tells you your not getting your medication. I wonder when the local high schools started graduating pharmacy students. I'm pretty sure they are not QAULIFIED to do the things they are doing

I have been using Holt's Pharmacy for 19 years and NEVER had one error in any of my prescriptions. The "high school children" that work there are NOT in high school. Most of them are in college, and some are out of college or old enough to be out of college. I am not saying there have never been and aren't some high school students working there, BUT most of them are older.
On the rare occasion that I have chosen to use another pharmacy such as CVS, it has been nothing but a headache. I much prefer the familiarity of Holt's over being treated like a number!

Holt's Pharmacy is a great local place, and i know for a fact that every pharmacist there as well as every employee has one thing in mind, and that's the customer. Larry Holt's only business model is customer service. I can almost gauruntee that they will get it out faster, and with more accuracy than any chain. as for FEDUP, you know how pain medication works, stop blaming other people. The youngest kids I've ever known to work there were college students who were studying Pharmacy at UGA.

I have been a customer here for 4 years and I know this to be the truth: Holt's only has 1 emoployee in high school. Most all employed are in their 20's. As for the clerks "running the store"- not true, the clerks take refill requests and account information- EVERYTHING IS CHECKED OFF BY THE PHARMACIST ON DUTY!
From time to time the pharmacist has had to fax for one of my refills and I had to wait for the doctor to call back, and that can take some time depending on the Dr's office.
As for costomer service- as it is stated in an older post- that is both Larrt Holt's and the staffs main concern. I have never once talked to a machine when trying to call in a refill because the clerks do the work themselves.
As for wait times,- try CVS or Walmart and see how long you have to "shop while you wait" to pick up your sick childs antibiotic!
I like the maw & paw feel of the pharmacy and perfer being known by name than as a number or not being recognized at all.`

What's with all the dead, stuffed animals in there? I've only been in there once and it was sickening. What do dead animals have to do with a pharmacy. I would drive to Atlanta to fill a prescription before I would shop at Holt's because of that. BTW I use Publix pharmacy and love it.

Miss Priss those are old animals. Get up close and you can see the dust on them and the hair falling off.

Just remember: the hands that put that dusty old animal up on the wall is the same one that is holding your genital cream tube.

So, your real complaint is the animals?
not the "teens" or pain meds's?
I have just personally looked closly at the animals and, no, the hair isn't falling out, and they say they dust just weekly,
As for touching Rx's if you step to the side of the counter, you can see they use trays and spactulas to count Rx's.Not their hands.
:) what next?

Don't worry, your job is safe there.

I'm just going with the flow here. She asked about why there are animals on the wall of a pharmacy. I think it is a legitimate question. I have never used Holts Pharmacy and never will. Not because of the animals on the walls, but because of things I know that I do not approve of.

Does the son still work there?
