You are a bunch of frauds. Check engine light came on the way home. You reset it. Illegal, and I will come after you with a lawyer. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TODD and his crap.

What the hell do you expect from a damn dollar down dollar a week for the rest of your life car lot. Get your credit right and you won't have to worry about it.

All car dealers are fast buck artists. It's the nature of the business. They don't care about repeat business because they believe in the old saying that a sucker is born every minute. The pay by the week lots are the bottom feeders of the industry. Between your down payment, interest rate and weekly payments you're only paying four times the value of the scrap iron you drive off the lot. As Chuck M said, get your credit straight and that way you can get a loan at your bank or credit union and buy direct from an owner and save thousands!!

As for buy here pay here places, I've heard that they get those cars for very little at auction and that your "down payment" covers what they paid for the car and that if they get a single payment, they make money. Also heard that they want to repo the car because the second time they sell it, everything is profit. Is that right? Sounds like a good business to me!

That's about it. They prey on the irresponsible. They hope they will only make 6 to 8 weekly payments so they can repo and sell it again. A $1500.00 car bought at auction is sold 3 to 4 times over in a 6 month period getting $1500.00 down every time plus 6 to 8 weekly payments in between. They can make 500% profit on a $1500.00 investment in 6 months.

New car dealers are sleezy too. Say you have great credit and Ford or GMC is offering a low interest rate. They don't want you to finance your car with them. They work through a bank. Why? They get one hell of a commission for selling that car loan. They add all shorts of crap on to the loan also. The window (glass)etching from JMA can be purchased at most parts store for $29.95 but the dealer will charge $299.00. Extended warranties that cost the dealer 300 to four hundred, you pay 1200 to 1500 hundred. Go on line and buy one. The DOC FEE, documentation fee is now done electronically. They don't even have to go down to the tag office anymore and are allowed by law to charge up to $600.00 for that. Ever notice that $599.00 is real popular for the DOC FEE? All of this is above the profit on the sale price of the car! I could go on. The best way to buy a car from a dealer is to first secure your own financing through your bank or credit union. DON'T tell the car salesmen you have done that!!!! Sit there and play their games and at last the minute before signing the loan agreement tell them you want just a buyers agreement for the price of the car only to take back to your bank or credit union. If you listen closely you hear the crap hit their shorts! Your car payment will be at least a $100.00 month less over 5 to 6 years!

The owners of the car lots may want the cars to get repoed but the salesmen/saleswomen don't. When a car gets repoed the lost money comes out of the saleperson's commission. Either way it's not smart to buy from a buy here pay here lot.

I don't know how commissions work on a pay by the week lot but at a new car dealership when a car is repoed only the finance company suffers. The car dealer gets his money up front and so does the salemen. The bank takes all of it in the shorts. If you were a salesperson on a pay by the week lot and could sell the same car over and over, they probably would give you a bonus!

Like I said, at buy here pay here lots the salespeople DO NOT like to have cars repoed. I know from experience.

Newsflash since you are so up on all the extras padded onto new car sales, did you work for Terry Reid KIA?

Can you name the one dealership in town that has never charged a doc fee or done glass etching?

No I didn't work for KIA or any other dealership but I have read articles on how to buy a car and what they pull. I would guess that every dealership charges the max on the DOC FEE and glass etching. That's a fast $900.00 on every car. It's just my opinion the automoble industry would be better served if they owned the dealerships. Cut out the rip off middleman.

PS: I have heard a lot of bad things about Terry Reid KIA but hell you only get what you pay for. Who in the hell would want a KIA anyway? Buy a Ford! No government bail outs and there sales are up 43%. American made and American owned!

What would you suggest, a Chrysler product, they won't even be around in ten years or how about a Government Motors product (obamamoble). I know how about a recalled Toyota! LOLLLLLL Ford is producing the most reliable automobles and their sales show it!

I'd get a two year old toyota and drive that sucker till the wheels fall off. All that BS about toyota was started by the american car companies anyway. Ever think of that?
