Why is the Bartow County School Board combining meetings? This is the second month in a row that they have done this. Is it because they are avoiding something?

My guess would be there is another short agenda this month and they are combining to keep the faculty & staff from having to attend 2 meetings during a month when it's not neccasary. Sounds like a great idea to me!! It's the holiday season, good tidings of great joy. Give it a rest for December PLEASE :)

Is for Ms. Cornett to show some class and character and resign. That's probably too much to ask.

Since when are the faculty and staff required to attend the school board meetings?

Most central office staff and department directors are required to attend the meetings, when the agenda only has a couple of items it's a great idea to combine the work session an business meeting.

There are problems with the way this is being done.

One: Who decided, and why was it done quietly, announced at the last minute?

Two: How can someone look at what is being proposed and raise concerns with his board member when the work session is followed immediately by the business meeting?

Third: By combining the meetings, they effectively cut public participation from 30 minutes a month to 15 minutes. Looks to me like they don't want to hear from the public.

Fourth: Is this the new normal? They are apparently changing next month's too. This board is getting less and less transparent as time goes by.

Of course they are, if you prefer to not know what your board is doing.

They are all either corrupt or spineless.

Wasnt announced last minute, the meeting is the 10th, been announced since last Thursday Approximatly 10 days notice.
The agenda is posted now, you got any concerns?
The public participation will be the SOS as it has the past few months. I think this board is doing a good job

Lee Harvey, I don't know where you are looking, but there is no agenda on the website for the meeting.

And yes, it was announced late. As in the day the agendas usually come out rather than in public at the last meeting.

The longer this board keeps up this nonsense, the more it looks like they are hiding something.

If they voted on the schedule as a body, these changes should be voted on by the body as well, and announced in public.

Wish your dumb ass wife was doing a good job. My daughter had her last year and I could tell your wife was one of the dumbest teachers any of my children have ever had.

Since when do teachers get an advance copy of the board agenda when they aren't even required to attend board meetings? I bet they get the agendas from the system website the same way everyone else does.

I smell a rat.
