What is the deal with the line at Heath Tax Service? And how can someone get a gun pulled on them in his office and the Cartersville police say they cant do anything about it? Isn't that crazy?

how was the guy an agent...I thought he used to be an agent but was no longer an agent...and now I'm checking through pages of complaints and see that the IRS no longer allows a citizen to place blame of their tax preperation on the preparer..I would beware of going there....

Get your facts straight. I know the person who owns Heath Tax Service and he is a great person. What really happened about the gun thing is someone came in fussing at him about their taxes and that guy told the owner that he was gonna be a dead man so the owner defended himself. Plus its his buisness he can do as he pleases. He used to be w/the Irs but not anymore. My freind has been using him for 10yrs so dont worry about being aware "a little concerned".

as long as you don't lie to the tax preparer you have nothing to fear on an audit. I've had a review and it was actually a mistake that they discovered and went away. Don't get caught up trying to get that extra BS deduction and get in trouble. Getting an audit means that you were scamming.

It always tickles me when people blame the tax preparer for their audit. He starts out with a blank form and you provide all the phony baloney donations and deductions and then play victim of the government?
And what are you doing paying someone to fill out your 1040 for you?
