It's the age old question...if someone tells an unfunny joke about a tragedy but no one hears it (because he says it on air on WYXC), is it still offensive?

/My guess is that the original poster is the one who made the joke and he's just trying to create some "controversy." It ain't gonna work. The only time I've ever listened to WYXC was when they were giving away a lot of stuff all the time.

Nobody listens to that station unless they are giving something away and as soon as somebody guesses the right number everyone tunes out. Now that Jim Adams is back they won't even be able to give anything away. When he worked there before and did a contest there was silence - no one called.

Look at the Arbitron ratings - WYXC and WBHF don't even show up. They both register a zero. Both stations are junk. Plus how many people under the age of 40 even listen to AM radio? VERY FEW!

Fred, you're an imbecile, and haven't a clue how arbitron works. Atlanta is the 9th largest radio market in the nation, and only 3 Atlanta AM stations are getting a rating from arbitron. WBHF isn't even sending data to arbitron you moron.... duh! And WYXC's signal only reaches into 8 of the 23 counties that make up the Atlanta market, so how would they get a ranking?? They're many AM stations inside the city limits that also have a 0.0 rating.

So, talk about something you know?

Stockton, you just made my point. AM is dead! Of all the AM stations in Atlanta only 3 even show up in Arbitron. Bartow County is located in the Atlanta market and also the Rome market, which means Bartow residents get to choose between about 3 dozen FM stations and get to listen to some first rate talent - so it's no surprise almost no one listens to either WBHF or WYXC. Talk to some of the local businesses who have advertised on either of these 2 local station and saw no return on their investment. I talked to one guy who asked every single customer who entered his store for a week if they had heard his radio commercial and NOT A SINGLE ONE HAD.
