Has anyone noticed how bad the lawn looks at the new state patrol barracks on 20 Spur. It has not been open all that long, and already several of the lights on outside of building are out and the lawn, that looked so nice when it was put down, is full of weeds.

Why don't you do your community a service and go cut it for them.

Well with a name like Bush Wacker, I could not find a job more fitting for you. As a business owner and a taxpayer, I have already done my part.

You may be a taxpayer but you can do more. We can all do more. Your government needs you. You should consider volunteering more. That grass isn't going to cut itself and why pay someone with tax dollars to do it when you can do it for free?

I think those lazy crooked GSP out to get off their lazy asses in the office and come out there and mow the lawn. God forbid they actually do anything instead of sitting on their asses like they always do.

Use the county inmates to mow the grass.

Typical county building... They spend millions to build the place, and then either have no care about what it looks like, and how it is kept up. Or, they ran out of budget money to keep it up. Sad... Bartow county will never be taken seriously as an Atlanta suburb if we keep letting our county look like a redneck county!

Neighbor is right. Use work details to keep the grass cut. Either inmates or community service workers. Last I checked, there is no road detail doing anything from the Sheriff's Office right now and they should be....

Does anyone know who will be taking care of the new landscape plan on Main Street? It sure doesn't appear that the maintenance end of this project is being managed... Weeds, over grown grass, and overall lack of care. What a shame if this wasn't addressed prior to the onset of this project.

Maybe the folks that were doing community service for the humane society could work there. I am sure they would not have to deal with getting their pants pulled down there

City of Cartersville Public Works has the task of maintaining Main Street.
