I am not actually from KY. I am from GA. I don't know why it is saying KY. But I could careless if someone was from KY because they can't get the care they need there. I wish just for once someone like you could feel what its like to hurt. I can't stand and wash dishes, sweep the floor, fold laundry, walk for longer than a few mins. I just moved here from Knoxville TN about a year ago and I am/ was getting the same amount there as I am here. Actually there I was getting a little more but didn't like the side effects. When I switched to this clinic it was recommended by my doctor in Knox and was told that it was a very good place. I was treated like a person not a drug addict because they know what its like to have pain. I would never have suspected them to be shut down. Before you start accusing the clinic of things read the article correctly. The doctors were not arrested.

Give me a break, you are taking patients from out of state!!! Hello, first clue they are not legit. I bet you only take cash, second clue you are a pill mill. YOu may not have known what was going on but your providers knew exactly what they are doing. Geogia needs to get it together like the rest of the states so these drug addicts will have a harder time getting these medications. And your providers need to remember their Hippocratic Oath, which states in part "I will prescribe regimens for the good of my patients according to my ability and my judgement and NEVER DO HARM TO ANYONE". Let the professionals handle prescribing pain meds. Thes e so called doctors should lose their abiliy to practice.
You couldnt have said it better! It's 2011--people DO have common sense these days to know whats right and whats wrong, and clearly this was TOTALLY wrong! One by one, they will shut em down.:)

Just because they didn't arrest the doctor's, doesnt mean the GA Medical Board isn't going to be aware of the situation and notice something isn't right at this facillity. They might not get arrested, but its a good chance they will lose their right to practice medicine. Unless people are terminally ill with cancer and dying, they shouldn't be prescribed what these people were being prescribed in the amounts they were getting. Period. I wouldn't take your word from a Doctor in Knoxville, TN. Find a PCP in your location and have THEM refer you to a legit pain management facility in your area.

I agree with CaddyGirl, the quantity of medications these physicains are writing probably for a diagnosis of Lumbago, which is low back pain, in my opinion should cause them to loose their right to write narcotics, I have low back pain but you don't see me eating through 180 Oxycontin in a week or two and then going to the ER to get something else, I just put my big girl panties on and deal with it. Most of these people DO NOT have a legitimate diagnosis and more than likely have a normal MRI, MOST of these poeple are diverting their medications or abusing them. The only people that should be writing these kind of narcotics are the professionals that are board certified in Pain Management. I do believe there are people out there that have legitimate diagnosis that require pain medication BUT they should also be treated with other modalities such as physical and massage therapy, nerve blocks, pain psychologist. No patient SHOULD NEVER be just treated with medications, if they are they are doing a dis-service to that patient by potentially making them addicted and just opens another can of worms so to speak. REMEMBER FIRST DO NO HARM....

Well, I came back to thank whoever it was that posted on here yesterday about pain management atlanta, but their post is now gone?

Anyways, if you read this, they were indeed able to see me so THANK YOU! lol

For anyone else that wants to give them a shot their web thing is http://painmanagementatlanta.com but you be prepared for a wait. Took me about an hour or so to be seen yesterday. Was told that it was due to the new patient paperwork and that it gets faster, so I guess we will see next month.

Now, anyone have any advice on a good eye doctor around Atlanta?

Good advertisement for the pain pill crowd now that the Cartersville clinic is off limits, huh? It's obvious you are giving the other pill poppers a heads up on where to go now that this place has been raided.

There was no post yesterday about your doctor's clinic and now gone, but you worded it good. Count the number of posts starting with number 1 you'll notice there are no numbers missing.

When will you people realize you are no better than people selling meth?

Very well said!! The only thing I have to say is one is doing it "legally" and the other is illegal. But I use the word legal very loosely here.

I had to go read though their site to find out what you were talking about, but why don't you give the ENTIRE quote instead of trying to twist it to what you want..

"A common misconception about Opiates is that they are addictive. The fact is when used properly for the treatment of pain, there is little risk of becoming addicted. Addiction is defined as continuing to use a substance when it has become detrimental to the person’s life. Being dependent is not the same thing as being addicted. Many people with health problems are dependent on medications, for instance people with high blood pressure are dependent on blood pressure medications. Diabetics are dependent on insulin. Furthermore, when opiates are taken as directed for legitimate pain, the person does not get “high” from taking them. Opiates consist of the same chemical makeup as your body’s natural painkiller, endorphins. People that have lived with pain over a long period of time sometimes have reduced levels of natural endorphins because the body has stopped producing them."

Have no clue how they will be in the long run, but I will say they have spent more time checking into everything than any other clinic has. As for the post, there indeed WAS something here because this is the only one I had bookmarked. No clue about this post numbers hun, just know this is where I saw it.

Wrong again, HUN. You did not see it here. You just search for discussions about pain clinics being shut down, then you do your cut/paste advertisement to get the druggies to come to your clinic.

The reason I did not quote the entire paragraph is because it is bullshit. Comparing a diabetic with someone who is hooked on oxycontin is just plain stupid.

I know there are a lot of people out there that abuse this clinics, and I am ALL FOR stronger regulations, so maybe one day those of us that are actually in NEED of help will be able to get it without everyone assuming that we are ALL the same. So until that day, please keep your pain bigotry to a minimum please. I really hope that you NEVER need the services of one of a pain clinic, but if you do, you will be thankful that they are out there.

As for searching the forums, you're damn right I do. I would rather spend some time hearing from people that have actually been to these places than to just take their websites word for it. I assume you do research before you make any big ticket purchase, why should I not do the same when it concerns my health.

You weren't researching other clinics, you were posting an advertisement for your clinic. How much do you get paid to post those ads?
I think anybody would be completely stupid to read chat sites looking for a doctor. Ever heard of rateyourdoctor website? Of course your doctor would never put his name out there to be rated.

I know what it's like to be in pain everyday of ur life so severe that u can't have a normal life. I can not walk for the pain I have. Some days r worse than others though. I have my good days n my bad days but medication helps but it still dose not stop the pain. I NEVER got ANY "high" from my medication, however my pain medication did ease off yet never completely stopes the pain. It IS NOT RIGHT FOR ANYONE TO JUDGE PEOPLE especially if u don't know them and if u don't know the pain that they feel each n everyday of their lives!!!! Their is several people who have severe pain who are NOT addicts n who really NEED their medications!!! The sad thing is where so many people abuse them that now everyone who has to have them is treated like they are criminals r junkies when they r only trying to live a life as close to normal as they can n who just want to be able to walk and do things people take forgranted everyday!!! I hope none of u ever have to know the feeling of a life such as that.... Living a life to where u have to have someone help u get out of bed, someone to help u sit/stand, getting up n down to go to the bathroom, trying to take a shower/bath, and having to use a wheelchair/ walker/ cain to be able to walk 10-15 feet! I hope u don't judge everyone who has severe pain because of people who abuse the drugs that others truely need! I wish all of u the best and I pray u never have to experiance the pain I have spoken of. May God Bless and Keep ALL of YOU IN HIS LOVING CARE!!! PLEASE PLEASE think about the people who have sever pain and know that All the people who take prescription medication for pain IS NOT junkies!!! I know of several people (including myself) who would do anything to NOT have to take any medication n I know of several (like myself) who have tried EVERYTHING TO HELP THEIR PAIN YET MOST OF THE THINGS THEY TRIED ONLY MADE THEIR PAIN WORSE!!! Thank u for ur time and I hope u think of the people who wish they didn't have the pain they have and wish they didn't have to have any medication at all!!!! May God Bless each and everyone of u, keep u safe and I pray u never have that pain so many people have! I hope and pray you understand the pain that so many people feel and that none of you ever has to go through any of this pain! Please consider what I have said before u post talking about everyone who takes pain medication PLEASE!!! God Bless all of u!

What I'm trying to say is don't put everyone who is on prescription medication because their is A LOT of people who WOULD GIVE/DO ANYTHING TO NOT HAVE TO TAKE ANY MEDICATION OR FEEL THE PAIN THAT THEY FEEL EVERY DAY!!! I hope u understand what I'm saying by that!! Yes their is people out there who are drug addicts and abuses the medication but their is also people who truely NEED that medication although most wish they didn't have to have any medication and they wish they didn't feel the pain they feel! I hope n pray that u NEVER have to see for ur self first hand the pain I am speaking of!! God Bless ALL of you!

Keep in mind, her location says Colorado.. Why in the HELL is she coming to GA for a pain clinic? Exactly... Notice everyone that got arrested wasn't from GA. I deal with this EVERYDAY and we do not take out of state patients to be treated here, specifically for that reason. We wasn't born yesterday.

That is total bs. If you don't take out of state patients then why were every single person arrested in that place from out of state?

Wow.
This pain clinic did all the things that get you "pill mill" status.
-Armed guards at the door
-ONLY out of state patients
-ONLY accepted CA$H
No one's hating on pain patients- some people really are in legitimate pain. But opiates ARE addictive, no matter what, good or bad. Even if you're taking your pills AS PRESCRIBED, you're still technically "addicted".
See what I'm talking about- take your meds as prescribed for a while, then go cold turkey for a few days. The horrible ohshitIwanttodie feeling? That's called withdrawals, and it happens whether you're a "good" pain patient or a "bad" pain patient. So that stuff about opiates not being addictive was hilariously misinformed.
It is SO EASY to get rid of all of the "pill mills". Make it so that no one may prescribe over a certain number of pain medication without the supervision of a BOARD-LICENSED anesthesiologist.
Problem solved.
