After all the "catch a predator" shows, The sex offender registry, the ease of internet surveillance by police I thought this crap would come to an end! Anything a person does on the internet is no secret anymore with the patriot act.

What's with these girls being on My Space or similar sites when they are in school? Those sites should be blocked from school computers, if there is a way. This guy is a scary, dangerous, creep, and there are many like him. Haven't these girls been warned time and again to stay off of those sites and not fall for the baloney from someone that sounds exciting? Wise up ladies!

Unfortunately, here's another story to reiterate what i have been talking to my teens about!

I look "over my kids' shoulders" - not because I don't trust them, but I don't trust the world. It's a sad time when we can't let our children run and around and play without ALWAYS being right at their side.

How often do we hear that too many kids are spending too much time inside watching TV and playing video games, but has anybody put it together with the fact that it's partially because mom & dad can't always be outside with them? Even in my own front yard, living on a dead end street I constantly watch every vehicle that goes by. If I don't recognize it as a neighbor, I tend to pay even more attention to it "Just in case...."

PLEASE say that was sarcasim...although I'm sure a Lib. Dem. might just buy that.

Lock him up and then get him some help. Please, don't be so naive to think that the only thing he needs is counseling.
Please, please watch what your kids are doing online, keep the computer in a public space in your home and look over their shoulder. If they're not doing something they're not supposed to, they won't really mind so much. be their parent first and a friend later.
Your child is your ultimate responsibility.

I'm sorry but this guy is an adult and did what is morally, sociallly, and spiritually wrong. Who would want to rub his little hand and tell him, "No- No or Bad boy????" I'm sorry but he did something very wrong and for a long repeated amount of time that will affect the lives of these girls forever. He is the elder who really knows better he just doesn't care about anything but his addiction to the way he finds pleasure. He belongs in jail. There is a price to pay and even then who knows if he'd still be hungry for it again if the chance arose. I'd be upset if he was my neighbor. I wouldn't trust his judgement. Again, he belongs BEHIND BARS or caged if you prefer. It provides protection for the rest of us.

Proper counseling and vote for Barack Hussein Obama?? Two of the funniest things I've heard today. You really are from Berkeley! Bring him to your cardboard box and reform him, he could be your nanny. Typical dumb-ass lib

You're calling the people on this forum cruel? What about the man that victimized these girls? Who's the cruel one? I agree that he needs help, but he needs to get the help while in prison, where he can't hurt any other young children.

The easy response is to Say "Shame on Mr. Bag Guy!"... however, I think Dee makes an excellent point. Young Ladies, how many times do you need to be told? There are creeps out their that will hurt you if you give them a chance. This is not a game. Quit inviting creeps into your lives... It is akin to playing with Fire.
And Finally, If you don't value yourself, then no one else will. As Dee so eloquently put it "Wise Up Ladies!- Quit making yourself the victim"

I got a solution to the "society of prisoners" for his crime. Incinerator. Ashes do not take up much space and require no maintenance.

And again - women (and men too) need to pick and chose their partners a little more carefully, and really should use protection. But someone with AIDS has the responsibility of telling their partners that they have it, both legally and morally. Just because "people will hurt you if you allow them" doesn't make what this man did right, and he deserves to be punished.

Ha, my bad. I should read a little more carefully - I was apparently stuck on the guy with AIDS who didn't tell his partners. My opinion is still kind of the same. This guy was preying on children - and children, no matter how often they're told, have then mentality that it won't happen to them. These girls are victims, and I'm sure had no intention of trying to make it that way. This is a sick man, who like the AIDS guy I decided to talk about earlier, needs to be locked up and punished for his crime. Sorry about the goof - don't know what I was thinking!

I have windows vista and can set the times that my daughter is on line, restict the web sites and I get a report the sites that she has been on. Doesn't tell me what was done on those sites, but I can at least monitor where she has been. I also have heard that parents can install a type of spyware on the computer to check up on their kids. Sounds a little dreastic, but with these wackos running loose, you almost have to consider it!

I wish more people thought like you :)

Can we do this after they are found guilty and skip the appeals? THAT would make wayyyy too much sense!
