Underage girls possible victims of HIV positive man

A man charged with failing to tell his sex partners he's HIV positive faces new charges... this time involving underage victims.

I heard the rumors about the $5.00/$6.00 gasoline myself. So far no one has positively said they paid that or seen it for that price. However, I have a relative that works for Governor Granholm and he did confirm that it is just that, a rumor. If anyone is selling it for those prices then those stations will be charged with price gouging as there is no shortage of gas at this time. Can't do that in Michigan.

I always understand the "where were the parents" thing. But if these kids are 13, 14, 15 years old, are your kids with you 24/7? Nope. There is always a way to make time to do something your not supposed to be doing. However, if you mean it toward education about STDS and AIDS, I hear you....Unfortunetly, these girls might learn the hard way of having sex so young.

I posted this on another story "Local girls victimized by online sex predator". It applies here as well, with only the type of offense changed.

I lived in Carson City a few years and raised a teen daughter there. We moved away for many reasons but one was that the kids had very little to do on the weekend except party. Don't get me wrong, I have a great deal of respect for most of the teachers and police in Carson. So many parents in Carson grew up there, they know their kids are living the same life they lived, partying on the weekend, but they bury their heads in the sand about it.

It's sad to know that many students there don't have much self-respect. They hook up and hang out and not many good choices are being made. Not unique to Carson, I know, but it is a large problem there. I think many parents there would be surprised to find out what (or who) their teenager did over the weekend. Earlier this spring, Carson lost a young man who was kind and sweet and everyone liked. He had poor self image, he thought that he had a drinking problem and decided that his life was too messed up to continue. Sadly, if you had asked anyone else who knew him, they didn't see him that way at all.

I hope the girls who were involved with this monster get the help they need, I hope the parents of high schoolers in Carson and everywhere get the wake-up call they need. Communicate with your child, keep tabs on your child, help them become the very best that they can be. They will still make mistakes, that is how we all grow and learn, but continue to guide and steer them for exceptional. Help them become adults with quality!

ummmmm... kinda random to be commenting about gas price rumors in light of the story at hand... just found that rather odd...

So per the story we are commenting on, yes... the guy is a POS & he should face justice & those young woman--what were they thinking? Screwing around can screw up your life big time!

Why is using dirty needles all of a sudden a concern. There is well over 700+ people who tattoo out of thier houses in West MI. Near half learned in Prison. I have a letter from the Kent County Health Department that states there isn't any way tattooing with dirty tattooneedles can spread HIV, Hep B or C. I recieved this letter when I raised concern that the state or county needs to place a tattoo ordinance in place. Right now there is none. You can tattoo as dirty as you want in MI and it's legal. Mi is one of only a few states with no law. Jan 1st, 2009 a law goes in effect to make people tattoo out of a licenced store front or it's up to a 90 day/$500 fine? Do you think people making up to $1000 tax free money a weekend care about that new law? That law is only to take money from tattoo shops that do thing the right way. It will in no way affect people tattoing out of thier homes like parolee Campbell and the 100's of others like him in Grand Rapids area alone.
