the us supreme court approved properly conducted checkpoints but left it to the states to determine what the minimal safeguards must be..
in a decision by the ca supreme court one of the necessary standards in planning and administering a sobriety checkpoint is advance publicity..this is to reduce the intrusiveness of the checkpoint and increase its deterrent effect..sobriety checkpoints are always listed in the newspaper before they are put in place..

Hey, it's the law. You have to tell when and where the check points will be held. Wake up People. Thank you redlipstick. Also those who drink too much and don't remember Hawk.

Yes, of course, those too. It's a pity, it always hits the weak, and then we talk about our kind & gentle ways. Where are they, when we need them?

What a waste of time and resources! We know where the Bad guys are so lets go get them! We know when someone is driving poorly and probably under the influence, lets stop them and give them a sobriety test and make an arrest; instead of this Dog and Pony show!

Real Leadership and Real Results! Use our reserve Deputies and civilian personnel to assist our sworn officers and get this done through out the entire City where prior statistical data display problem areas! Like I said, Real Leadership and Real Results!
