how marvelous
what a great stride forward
find the heart of the city
from rubble to rubies
make a difference
turn trash to treasures
make it happen
let the artist soar

I know of a city where their empty lots are fenced in with a nice white picket fence and inside have cut outs of jersy cows. Its nice and clean and nice to look at ! The city is Bellflower California. Who wants to look at junk ! Now have a nice day !!!!!!!!!!

Cows in the pasture!!!! What a great idea!!!! That certainly would be much more pleasant to look at than junk welded together on a pole. Should that happen, Carson may soon be known as "Junk City". How about cows standing around looking at the junk poles with a weird look on their faces. That way, we could have both and a laugh at the same time.

What ever they decide, something needs to be done with those vacant lots.

Great ideas from a very bright young man! These empty lots are an eyesore. These ideas for art in public places are a great start in improving the look of these fenced in blighted areas.

Carson should require all of the new developments to set aside 1% of their monies to include pulic art pieces!

Great job Mr. Pina!!

Great idea, but as the above poster stated, Carson should go further. There should be more permanent pieces around the city as well.

New York had the Big Apple Fest and Denver has a similar project with decorated cows called CowParade.

Carson would undoubtedly have to something smaller scale, but this is definitely a step in the right direction.

Great job!

I know this young man and he is a wonderful person and an awesome artist! I have also heard his ideas for public art for the City of Carson and I think he is on to something wonderful for the people who live and work there.
Sadly, in this forum, some people can't help but put forth ugly comments, even when none are warranted. Before you start blasting the project, how about finding out more about it next time!
