Congrats on your enlistment, training pay is actual pay rate based on 40 hours, after training will have opportunity to make overtime, extra 10 hours equal another $150 added to base.I have 3 years exp, all customer service, 4 semesters of college and being started at 390/wk or about $10/hr. This is crazy low, help. also anyone know of your training pay being different for the actual job?
Your start is either $389 (zone B bottom of start wages) or $392.50 (zone C, six month credit) please Google search "wage scale 6 wire tech" for PDF file showing wages with pay increases.
While not receiving much or anything for work credit you will receive automatically pay raises every six months till Max level reached (about four years vs five in other district :-))
Paid training with OJT for six months after classroom, paid from start of day to end of day including drive time during shift, provided truck, gas, tools, iPad, iPhone all for company business only.
Free weight loss thru physical challenges of pole climbing and working in attics.
Increased knowledge (education) on safety, wiring, customer skills, time management, troubleshooting, and limits of what you can control and what is beyond your control in outside plant, internet connection speeds, equipment failures, record management, etc.
The very best to you, Kenny
