What do you think Carrollton needs? According to residents in 1927, the village needed a "satisfactory sewer system, playgrounds, co-operation among business owners and an investment in young people." At the time, while Charles Lindbergh was flying the first solo trip across the Atlantic, Babe Ruth was hitting the 30th of 60 home runs, Mt.

We need a Target store, and more family sit down eateries. No more fast food drive thru joints, no more gas stations, and no more drug stores.

We need a cheaper grocery store w/name brands and a good meat dept. A Walmart would be wonderful as that is where I buy all of my groceries. Some different restaurants would be great, not pizza or burgers. Applebees, Bob Evans, Olive Garden, etc. would keep my business in Carrollton instead of Canton, New Philly, Steubenville, Alliance. I know. Dream on.

Soooooooo, you want all the big city amenities with the small town atmosphere. Aint going to happen!! Once Carrollton brought in McDonalds and Pizza Hut, the City went downhill mighty fast. It wasn't the business per-se`, but people moving from the big cities into Carrollton. Bringing their big city attitudes. You can't have it both ways. Ames used to be here; but didn't last long.

You think walmarts chinese meat department is good?

Brings to mind soylent green..but then again you
might like that.

You have a good meat store. Try Don's and support
local farming not meat sent frozen across the ocean
from china.

Get rid of that "what was good in 1927 is good
enough now" mentality especially when it comes
to supporting education. Then you might just get
off the edge of Appalachia and come in to the
present.

Repression causes depression and Carrollton can't
be much more depressing.
