Please remember that children with Disabilities have the right (and need) to attend school until age 22. This conflicts with the new grading system. Students with DD attending after age 18 will count against the school system's graduation rate. Whomever sponsored and those state officials that approved this grading system did not consider this conflict with federal law. Parents still have the right to INSIST that their daughter or son with learning challenges are able to benefit from longer schooling so that they may become productive taxpaying citizens.
