What an awesome community picnic! It is such a nice thing for Family Worship Center to put on. Imagine 11,000 people and not one incident...... no one hurt, no fights, just a nice day! God is soooooooo good!

is this church a non profit or profit?

non-profit of course....all the money to put it on comes from the people that go there. There is also a lot of volunteers, like the Fair Board who does all the cooking. It takes a lot of people to pull this thing off.

What does that matter. Either you are grateful that the church threw the community picnic, for which you paid nothing to attend if you attended, or you are just going to find something to b*&ch about. Say thanks and be done

so why start trouble...don't talk about it on here...go directly to the church and quit starting junk on here. sounds like your group is just jealous that you can't plan something like this or tried it and didn't have the success that they have. I do know that the yellow jacket football team holds fund raisers for things like this. GO TO THE CHURCH AND GET OFF OF THIS SITE TRYING TO START TROUBLE.

The other churches do a lot also, they just can't afford something like that. I have heard of some of this churches paying peoples rent, utilities, food, putting them up in hotels until they find somewhere to go and giving clothes to the needy, youth programs to keep the kids off the streets after school...ect. There really are some other good churches too.

My panties are not in a knot. Just don't understand why people have to come on this site and start trouble instead of dealking with it face-to-face with the person or church that they have problems with. If you think instead of by-passing the church and going to frankfort is the way to go, then by all means go for it. But did you ever to stop and think that maybe they have funds set aside for this kind of community event every year. That is a big church and they might be able to do it out of their offerings every year. But once again someone has to come to this site, and instead of using it for something good, they have to start trouble. Maybe if you would be a man/woman and go talk to Pastor Butcher he would be able to answer your question and be able to help with suggestions for your non-profit organization to be able to do the same thing.

there are other churches in the community that do lots of things for people...try a few of them and find the one that you are most comfortable and welcome and loved in..last year our church had FREE picnic at prestonville park...lots of food and music; this past june we provided free food for Prestonville day since that date was already set for the same time that we had planned another free picnic...also some churches make donations for the community picnic because it is a big expense for FWC...it is all about showing the love of Christ!!

you should not had even responded to the one who is bashing, because that is the Devil in them trying to upset us. I think it's a wonderful thing that this church and the fairgrounds people has done for everyone. GOD BLESS YOU ALL. remember Ignore the Devil and he will FLEE!!
