I just heard that Carrollton is getting a computer repair company. The guy sounds like he knows what he's doing. This is good news, I'm tired of having to drive to Louisville and that shop in Madison is horrible. The website is poweredon.net

Powered On looks to be in full swing! They are moving into a building downtown. They fixed my computer and he told me that they already have some contracts with local businesses. I called them because I got a flyer. It's about time this town got a good professional computer shop! http://poweredon.net

The last guy we had here went out of business and I heard that he moved. I got a flyer for Powered On. Hope it lasts longer than the last - everybody support them.

I guess they do a lot of print work too. Business Cards, Flyers, Signs. They have a graphic designer that is making my business cards. Business Cards, websites and computer repair. No more driving to louisville! He charged me a low rate and asked me to spread the word so they have a website www.poweredon.net

With their high prices, you might consider buying a new computer. They are just outrageous on what they are charging. Bring your prices down!!!!!!!!!!

Powered On only charged me $99, I went to them because the guy in Madison didn't know how to fix it and Geek Squad quoted me $249 for the very same repair!

The Owner's name is Brent. I work there. We're located in the old Glauber's shoe store on Main St. Come on down and ask questions!

they didn't charge to give me a repair quote and then fixed it reasonably. they were on a call when i went by but had a number on the door. they are better than staples and the other shops i had to burn gas to get to. hope they do good and stay here.

The name of the computer repair shop is Poweredon. If you go to Poweredon.net you will get the website for them. I just got my laptop back from them. It had quit typing because the keyboard had broken underneath. He looked at it and told me what it would take to fix it and how much it would cost.
We had a problem with the company who made my laptop, which I am using at this moment, and they ended up having to go to another source to get the keyboard. Brent did not charge me for the new keyboard and was very patient with me calling or e-mailing to check on the status of getting it back. I had a very nice experience with Powered On and will be taking my computer back there to get them to upgrade the memory on it and having them back up the files I do not want to loose. Thanks Brent and team for a great job. Glad to have my laptop back and I will be seeing you soon.

Oh I forgot to add that they moved from Glauber Sports store to the old tattoo shop on the corner of 5th and main right across from Welch's resturant.

OMG! went into this shop today and talked w/ the owner Brent Graves. Not only did he quote reasonable prices and talk like he knows what he's doing, he is hot! Not so much drop-dead gorgeous good looks, but his eyes are crystal blue and he knows how to make eye contact and keep it. Plus he's got a powerful energy about him - an electricity - that I'd not seen in C-ton in eons.

Who is this guy and where did he come from? Is he taken? I'm way beyond his age-range, I'm sure, but there's no harm in looking, is there?

Yeah, I was in there a few days ago too. Seems like a nice guy. Think his mom is Patty Rogers Perkins. Both he and his assistant seemed knowledgeable, prices sounded very fair. I'm way too old to even consider 'hotness'. LOL

Powered On is a joke. I brought my laptop in to have the screen replaced and they quoted me a price, which I paid, and told me it would be done in 2-3 business days. So 3 days later I go in and check and they tell me UPS is being slow, and that the part isn't in yet. I was confused, but ok with it, because whatever, that happens.
But what I'm not ok with is when I headed out the door I heard one of the techs say to the owner Brent, "We haven't ordered that for her yet, right?" To which he replied "No, and I'm not going to until Monday or Tuesday." It was freakin Monday! That meant another week, after I'd already paid.
So I went back and confronted Brent about it, and he tried to act like I heard wrong, and then when I told him if he ordered it, there would be tracking info, and that he could check for me, he was like, "If you want your money back fine then."
It was insane.
I got my money back, and am never going there again. I talked to some other ppl and apparently the UPS is late BS is something he says all the time.
I understand a small business can't keep lots of stock but don't lie about it. If its going to take longer, just say so in the first place. If you lie to your customers, especially in a small town like Carrollton, word is going to get around, and you wont be in business for long.
Addressing the post about the owner being hot... The guy I talked to had acne, a gut, and bugged his eyes out a lot when he talked, maybe there are 2 owners? Whatever though.:)Madison's not to far to drive next time.

Oh, and to add to my last post, he was red headed if that helps in avoiding him if you wander in.
