This is the MM in Carrollton, by the way. They closed about two weeks or so ago.

I have seen that. The Carrollton Menu is okay, but has some terribly written articles, and many provide no real information.

It is a blog site. Read the section about special statement. It is Not a website. You can write what you want to.:) I write for it and thanks!

Not a website? Any blog is a website. If you type in a url, and you end up on a page, you're on a website.

It's just poorly written.

I don't think you are understanding the concept of what a blog site is. It doesn't have to be professional. I think with 100,000 hits that should tell you something that people actually enjoy it :)It doesn't matter.

Millions of people listen to Britney Spears: Does that make her good? It's subjective really. I don't like her, but many others do.

I write a REAL blog myself (You know, on a blogsite), and it gets a fair amount of hits, but that doesn't deem that it is good. It means a lot of people find my blog and either read or glance over it. One of my posts alone has thousands of hits: That doesn't make it good or mean that people enjoyed it.

I know what the "concept of what a blog site is," but what you write is not in blog form. You are reviewing restaurants, posting hearsay, and updating on what's closing and opening. That does not constitute as a blog site, in my opinion. You won't change that.

What qualifications do you have, by the way? Your poor sentence structure and grammar tell me that you don't have a degree in English or Journalism. It's great that you're trying to inform the locals on Carroll County eating establishments, but your approach does not even come to Times Georgian standards, and that's pretty low.

All I suggest is that you brush up on your professionalism. Anyone off the street can write about eating and rumors, but you have the opportunity to do it well. Your hit count will easily go beyond the "100,000" mark, since that seems like what you're after.

They are NOT the Times Georgian nor do they want to be. It is just an individual confirming or denying rumors and giving us important information. We love the website!

I never said they were the Times Georgian.

Important information? "We" love the website. All subjectivity, of which you certainly know little about.

And this thread isn't about that damn website. It's about the Mellow Mushroom closing. I will not respond to anymore posts regarding the Carrollton Menu.

The Douglasville Mellow Mushroom also closed a while back.I see they have opened a Mellow Mushroom in Panama city beach and Pigeon Forge.Maybe they prefer the busy touristy areas, instead of these West Ga.towns.I loved the Douglasville Mellow Mushroom,I went to the Carrolton Mellow Mushroom after moving here also.Guess they are looking for places with bigger crouds nowadays.

Yeah, but it doesn't make sense because they did good even without tourists.

This is kinda late, but oh well.

HQ in Atlanta wanted the owner to pay a larger yearly fee, he wouldn't do it because the restaurant is smaller than most MMs and he actually charged less for most of the food than others on the chain, and so he had to close the restaurant.

There was rumor going around that someone else was going to open it back up, but I don't believe so.

...and the last time I was in town, I tried American Pie: It sucks.
