It has become very depressing to drive through downtown Bremen, Tallapoosa & Buchanan. It seems we have no short term or long term plans to revitalize our community or towns. Why has improvements to the buildings in these towns been few and far between?
Our city council needs to act now for the future of our town. Bremen has eyesores all over the town, and it keeps getting worse. The Hubbard's building is the biggest eyesore followed by dilapidated buildings such as the old police station and other empty buildings with roof and structural problems.
It is going to be a thorn in the side of every resident of Bremen until action is taken to clean up the town and put a plan in play that makes these buildings either torn down or dramatically refurbished so it will no longer look like a town dying!

It's happening all over the country, it's called Obamanomics.
Obama said he wanted to "spread the wealth around" but the reality of it is he is only creating unprecedented poverty and decline.
I find it interesting that Obama and his like minded types call themselves "Progressive" ,
We are progressing under their leadership, progressing toward oblivion.

The downfall of Bremen (ie Hubbards) happened way before Obama. I don't like current politicians anymore than the next guy, but don't blame things from 13 years ago on him.

As soon as the city lowers its ridiculous taxes3649706797, quits dumping more and more money into its sub standard schools with a high standard rating, and renevate some of the old buildings and try to give the town a face lift.

When Haralson County School was first built the name had not been decided on and it was almost named West Bucapoosa.

Face it Haralson County has been dying for several years. Tallapoosa has lost so many industrial jobs it is unreal. This slow death started long before "The Chicago Thug" got into the White House. Now I do not dispute the fact that "The Teleprompter Kid" and his economic policies have hurt job growth. That is why it is so funny to read the County and City leader going at it like school yard bullies over tax issues.

I take it English and Grammar were not your major accomplishments during your time in the Haralson County School system.

No but I WAS talking to you. A little constructive criticism with no fees attached. An argument can carry a bit more weight if those who you are arguing/chatting/texting with can comprehend what the hell you are saying and are not laughing so hard at the slaughter of the english language before their eyes.

I am also a graduate of HCH and I want to commend Bremen on a fine school system. It is also a fact that HCH has produced many well educated people over the years. Good and bad people or smart and dumb people leave every school in the US each year. It is what you put into your education that counts. With that being said, I think that if you see a problem do everything you can to fix it. If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem. Could the Bremen and Haralson County schools do a better job? By all means, yes. Each school everywhere should always work to improve.
