What's going on at the elementary school? It seems over the last couple of years that administration continues to change and teachers are shuffled like cord wood. I've decided the Superintendent must not realize how far this school has fallen since replacing the principle. I continue to hold on to faith believing that my child will have a better teacher next year. Unfortunately that's not happening... If a parent isn't involved with their child's education everyone may not see the negative results. A few of the Assistant principles are not fit to lead a band of ants to a picnic.
OUR SCHOOL BOARD NEEDS TO WAKE UP AND BEGIN TO NOTICE THERE IS A PROBLEM. ELEMENTARY KIDS ARE ATTENDING SCHOOL LONGER THAN HIGH SCHOOL. THIS IS CRAZY!!! A CHILDS ATTENTION SPAN EXPANDS WITH AGE. I REALIZE I HAVE A CHOICE TO MOVE MY CHILD AND I MAY NEED TO DO THIS SINCE MY FAITH IS GROWING DIM!!!!

The principle "Mrs. Clifton" is only hiring candidates from Carroll County Schools as well. If you are from City of Carrollton. No need to waste your time applying for a position.

Famous Cliche By Mrs. Clifton. "In The County We Do It This Way And I'm Not From The City".

Someone Needs To Ask The QuestIon. Why Is so Many Teachers Leaving CES? Many Of These Teachers Have 10 Plus Years Experience. I Heard Her Nickname Is "HITLER"...

Sounds like another lynching of an outsider to me. Most good teachers at carrollton are not from carrollton in my opinion. some of my beat ones were not. Teachers are leaving because they're probably fed up with politics and not strong enough teachers to withstand the scrutiny when the good 'ol boy system isn't around. Let the people who know what they're doing run the school and you go play Xbox or something.

Well the school system is failing no doubt. It is very sad. I have always l loved Carrollton and I always will but the past few years are testing me. Too changes hurt and there have been a lot. Everyone who sits by and claims "outsiders" are making up stuff are idiots. They probably can not tell you the last time they walked into a school. If you are there you see it, if you listen to your children you hear it and if you look into open records you know something is up. I do not know how a school system like ours can hire "intern" teachers who have not graduated from college to teach our children. If you look up certification on some of the teachers you will see what I mean.
The time change was a BIG mistake and moving sixth grade was even a bigger one but too change it back would admitting they were wrong. So maybe after next year they will change it but who knows only time will tell.

From my understanding the schools didnt do bad on CRCT's - not failing. I only heard about two of them but both increased scores. The 6th grade moving over Isn't so bad once the newness wears off . And the time change? Big problem to you or the kids? Mostly parents griping not kids.
There are also programs that allow hiring of "interns" as you call them that provide mentors and guidance as well as them taking classes to complete the requirements to be an educator.
The schools are changing because the dynamics of carrollton are changing. Population of inner city is increasing and that puts more kids struggling and having home life problems.stop complaining or take your complaining self somewhere else.
