I'm sorry, I thought teachers were suppose to set examples, my bad, thought they were to act the way they preach to the boys in football and wrestling, but I forgot its Bremen, it's ok... If you don't want stones thrown, don't break the law so it's not posted on public websites!
You should be the role model for your child, not a teacher, coach, or someone else. But you are probably the type that wants to blame the school or teachers when your little Johnny gets into trouble or because he can't read or write, when it is much your responsibility

Actually YOU'RE right, paying YOUR taxes does entitle you to voice YOUR opinion ABOUT WHAT GOES ON MON-FRI 8AM TO 3PM... HOWEVER... that right ENDS when the school day ends. Paying YOUR tax dollars do not give you the right to voice YOUR opinion on what someone does on the weekend... after all, they are not on YOUR time then. Does YOUR employer dictate what you do on the weekends?

OK seriously this is all stupid. the truth is, is that he went to his girlfriends house to get his son while drunk. she refused to let him drive with his son while he was drunk (his intention). he got mad and busted glass and opened the door himself. she called the cops. it was not her decision to charge burglary on him. that's the cops choice. don't bash her. she was protecting 4 innocent kids. it was the right thing to do. she also wants him to get help because little did u guys know, he has a 7 month old with him. he needs a clean, non-alcoholic dad in his life. so please. all you poor, negative people...know the story before you bash the wrong person. thanks
I was wrong about the girlfriend...so please except my apology. I hadn't heard the WHOLE story, of course. I shouldn't have said anything about her. If she felt the need to call the cops then yes she probably needed to. I do apologize especially if she was trying to prevent him from driving drunk with his son. I would do the same thing as her when it came to my children.
I'm just annoyed at all the people bashing him about a mistake he made after school hours and a mistake many people have made. I do not think he should be considered a bad role model in the school system when he is obviously not drunk while teaching. But yes if his children were present for this he has not set a good example for his own kids! He could possibly lose his job over this because of the negative comments from the parents and other people in this community. Bremen thrives on being the school of excellence and the people of Bremen can cause this man to lose his job. I'm sure he already has enough going on right now and will eventually be his own enemy he doesn't need everyone else making his life worse. Anyway I'm done talking about this I don't know the whole story and probably never will. Again my apologies to the girlfriend. I was wrong!

It's not BREMEN causing him to loose his job, it's called criminal record and bring a teacher, they don't mix! And no, not everyone has done the same thing!! Just because you think it's ok to get drunk and take things from others doesn't mean it's right! So just like the other teacher who got arrested for making meth when she was not at school, should we have ignored that too??? Typical....

No shit Sherlock! So if the teachers are teaching drug and alcohol awareness one day when everyone knows that the teacher does it all the time, I'm sure the kids are really going to listen!!! So...as long as the parents are perfect then the kids aren't going to do anything that their "other role models are doing" and think its ok??

Ignoring a teacher that makes, sells, or does meth is COMPLETELY different!! Are you kidding me? This was a domestic problem in his own time...NOTHING like a teacher being involved in meth! You're an idiot for even trying to use that as an example. BTW what do you mean took things from someone...he broke in her house (which is wrong) but no didn't take things from her! Everyone has done something stupid is what I meant. Actually it's none of our business unless you were involved...I wasn't...so like I said before I'm done discussing this issue

So you will lose your job if you are arrested off the clock... but it's perfectly ok and moral for you to sit and post comments and pass judgment on a public forum while you are on company time... Yet you are concerned about what whats right and wrong... hhhmmmm teach YOUR kids to gossip, AND STEAL from their place of employment.. I would have to say you are a very commendable citizen

Yes, you can lose your job by being arrested(off the clock) and charged with a felony. Many institutions do not hire people with a criminal record(hence the background check), therefore if you get one while employed, yes you can be fired.

No one should get away with breaking into someone's house. No one should come into your house unless they are invited. Stalkers are idiots. She needs to buy a gun.

This event is not so much about the things that happened that night people ,it is more the fact John drank every night of the week ,he was bound to get to that point where he made a big mistake. I am just glad no one got hurt, he did break the screen and the windows in the main door ,then put his arm in the window and unlocked the door to enter. He needs help ,not judged . I do not believe in what the school or the PD did to the lady about dropping charges . She did it because she didn't want to ruin his career or life . With this said I pray he gets help and someone makes sure he does ,if this happens again ,things will not be swept under the rug.

Yes, I am aware that there are employers out there that require a clean record, and/or a record to be kept clean througout the durration of their employment, I was just stating that wrong is wrong... Weather we are arrested in our free time, or weather we are passing judgment on perfect strangers, or weather we are posting on public forums while we are on company time.. My point is that no one is perfect we all make mistakes and we all do wrong. There is not a "kind of" wrong, or a "just a little bit" wrong.. WRONG IS WRONG, and everyone passing judgment is JUST AS WRONG AS THE ONE BEING JUDGED... That's all

Georgia has a moral turpitude clause in the teacher's contract which says they can't be guilty of such while a teacher or they're subject to immediate dismissal.

Moral turpitude is legally defined as "conduct that is considered contrary to community standards of justice, honesty or good morals." Pretty big net, but I would imagine getting drunk and breaking into your girlfriend's house would qualify...
