What a great story!! Thank goodness they were able to pry the plane from the Ohio Historical Society, the place where history goes to die.

Teachers change lives. How easily we forget this in the age of No Child Left Behind. Glad that these kids were inspired by what must have been a great teacher. Nice story.

Very sad a plane was built, but never flown.

My sons were two of the students in the story. Bill was a great influence on their lives and I commend the Hamilton Twp. High School for going along with this project. Bill not only influenced the aviation students but many Hamilton Middle School students who were lucky enough to have him as their Industrial Arts teacher. If you get a chance, visit the Historical Aircraft Squadron Museum where the airplane is now housed. There you'll find several veterans who would be glad to show you around.
