Police Brutallity

The Dimmit County Sherrif's Dept. used way too much force on a guy. It happened on Alamo Street on July 19,2008 in the evening near the city park in Carrizo Springs. Deputy Sierra never even read the guy his miranda rights before he and so called deputy roy vallejo grabbed the guy and threw him down on the floor. Sierra was choking the guy to where he could not breath and Vallejo was punching the guy like a punching bag. vallejo punched the guy in the left side of the face and punched him several times in the chest and stomach. While that was going on Sierra was throwing the guy around like a rag doll and choking him to where he could not breath. The individual they were doing this to has mental problems but they did not care whatsoever. They're is a witness to this brutallity. Pictures were taken of his swollen face at the Dimmit County Jail by a female jailer on a digital camera. A one freddy mendoza who was in the same holding cell as the individual witnessed first hand the injuries caused by Vallejo and Sierra. I have heard that other people have been beat up by the Dimmit County Sherrif's Dept. and I bet that so called deputy Vallejo is responsible for, if not all, at least some of the beatings!

Wow that is CRAZY just make sure the pictures don't up and disappear. We had an incedent in 2004 where the "officers" used unnecessary force on us as well, pictures were taken by a female officer of our brusies and scratches on our arms and the next day when we were released we asked for the pictures and guess what NO ONE KNEW WHERE THEY HAD GONE TO, so BASICALLY THEY UP AND DISAPPEARED AND NOTHING WAS EVER DONE ABOUT IT- I wish this individual THE BEST OF LUCK with this CASE. WE HAVE TO PUT AN END TO ALL THIS NONSENSE,WHERE OFFICERS DO AS THEY PLEASE JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE A BADGE. Why doesn't the police dept. invest in cameras for there squad cars, I was watching TV the other day and they can get them for about $3-4,000 which isn't bad. But of course they won't do that because they would CATCH alot of things going on that shouldn't be, THEN WE WOULDN'T HAVE A FORCE-

YEP! sounds like the f*cking fat ass Deputy Vallejo alright always doing stupid sh*t like that, but he wont be a deputy here to long he is suppose to go work somewhere else. He just likes to take advantage of the citizens of carrizo springs because he is from San Antonio and the other Deputy he just needs to be careful. Remember Deputy Vallejo is a rookie he used to be a jailer before and he also loved beating on some of the inmates. what he needs is a good Ass Kicking.

They all protect each other, if not it will be orders from the Sheriff to dispose of them.
Officers are not suppose to act in this manner.
B.P. are not suppose to act in this manner either.
But it happens all the time, U.S. citizens or not!
I just hope the family of this man already have a lawyer and not from Carrizo Springs. I know some very good lawyers in San Antonio.....

Spiderwoman, my post to Citizen was a jest. But do you really think a Carrizo Springs Deputy would beat a man? Especially a man with Mental problems. Now if the man, Mentally retarded or not, if he resists, they can do what they want and even shoot and kill him to protect themselves. Now, as stated on the top, they were punching him like a punching bag? Really? Why didn't the Texas Rangers investigate? They would have in a heart-beat if it happened as stated. Remember, you resist or try to put up a fight, then you get what you ask for.

TO REAPER; O.K. If an Officer can beat up someone than why does the Police/Sheriff Department get lawsuit against them and a large $$$ has to be paid off? I mean why do they lose the case if an Officer is in his right to beat or kill? I am not saying this did happen in Carrizo Springs because I was not there. But if it did they did not have to go to such extremes to handcuff one x 2.
I do not see anything happening because sometimes people don't know their rights or they think that they need a large amount of $$ to hire a Lawyer in a case like this any Lawyer will take it EASY MONEY FOR HIM. But we are not like the black people they are there for each other especially in a case like this one. Us the Latinos what do we say: The Officers were doing their job, he got what he deserve, I didn't like him/her I am glad it happen. But when it happens to your family member nobody listens because we are not united never have been never will....UNLESS SOMEONE TAKES IT TO CHANNEL 5 NEWS.......

If you are resisting arrest maybe the cops can throw you against the car or ground to handcuff you. But to kill you it would mean that you pulled a gun on them (unless they put one in his pocket) then and only then will their life be in danger. If a Sheriff's Deputy tells you to get on the ground, or put your hands behind your back. You had better do it. It's all these "idiots" who like to talk back and act all bad ass. When you do not do what you are told, then you are at their mercy.

I do not know who the guy/child is but if he has mental problems, he needs to be taken care of by his family not let to roam the streets like the poor guy/kid in big wells. There are programs in place to help them, but when they act up or get drunk, that doesn't help them. Especially when they are talking medicine at the same time. One more, Do you know the family involved in this specific instance? Are they credible? Use your spider sense and find out.

I believe justice was served but people dont want justice in this town i guess yall wanted for that dumb a@# to get away harassing the poor lady she didnt want nonthing to do with anymore. I wonder why she left him. iI believe that guy name is Benjamin. That guy is crazy over that lady. THat idiot was unplugging the phone on her so she wouldnt call the cops and didnt want to leave now tell me what would have done. He even wanted to fight with the cops when they arrived.
