Well it has come to this, Obama passed a tax bill that will increase cigarette taxes by another $0.41

So what do you guys think?

That is a good way for folks to stop smoking. I don;t want to scare young folks but they need to do some reading. At the clinic there was a man who caught HPV condiloma virus and he had several surgeries to remove it and it would come back. I had to translate and explain to him that smoking was the main reason why the STD kept coming back.
After witnessing the patient I am glad that I stopped smoking years ago. This is a raw but it is the truth. Smoking causes many silent problems. Sorry for those who don't agree and are probably upset that they will have to fork up more money for a pack. Adults and parents google the virus and look at the images, read the facts.

That's a good one, alcohol. Kills more people that cigarettes, at least I wanna believe that. It still kills. I think they should just match anything that kills, from trans fats to beer. Tax the hell out of them...

FYI, the tax was made from Obama's administration. The money from the taxes is, at least supposed to be used, for medical reasons and supporting hospitals and medical insurance.

if its not gas going up it will be something else! these days its all about making money, the rich get richer and of course the poor get poorer! obama is trying to fix the mess that that so called ex president we had for eight years did! i dont think it is helping though, in the long run we the poor people always get !ucked! thats just the way it is and the way it will always be. life is a bitch, and then we die, so live it the best you can folks. laters!

the last time they raised the tax on cigs it was suppose to be used for medical for children, i believe the Chips program don't know what happen to that program and i agree they should raise the tax on beer/liquour because they do kill more people cause they can't keep drunk drivers off the road and yet now us smokers can't smoke in public places which is ok but lets face drunk driving takes more innocent lives. just my thinking

Get some supports and make those little Catholics change the rules. You don't need much to change it, I'm sure you don't need God's advisory to ask for a healthy change. Just take it to the city.
