Mr Flores should really put his foot down an make this employees do their job or replace them. He also should check the back ground of all his employees of any misconduct on previous jobs etc. Its obvious his not doing his job well an that is the reason of all this ignorants employees at the emergency room.

I'm not one to complain about service because I'm the one that will go to the er with a sore throat in the middle of the night when I can't bare it.
But one thing I can say is......when I'm not feeling well and I'm in pain, it frustrates me having to hear the nurses laugh and talk real loud about their personal business. I just wanna rest, wait for my results and the meds to kick in. There are some doctors that are really nice and explain everything to you. The nurses are generally really nice as well. But there is a time and place for everything. I also thinks it's really funny that there is a big sign that says NO CELL PHONES ALLOWED.....yet the nurses are always on theirs. lol

truth be told, their are SOME good nurses that work there and I'm talking only a few. But none of them are in the er. At the er they have nothing but idiots starting with the supervisor down to some er clerks. I also am one of the people out here in DIMMIT COUNTY that pay our taxes and now the tax that includes the hospital crap so yes if I got a sore throat or a freakn hangnail or just any so call dumb thing according to "LMAO" idiot you get paid to take care of that and with a freaken smile in your face. Because of us-you have a job. Not to sit there be on your cell phone during your working hrs or be stuffing your face while someone is sick or a real emergency. GOD forbid for a major disaster, cause I can guarantee your sorry ass wouldn't know what to do---ASK YOUR SUPERVISOR, SHE PROBABLY WILL BE TOO BUSY TRYING TO PICK HER NEXT SCREW!!

Try going to the emergency room in SA and see how long you have to wait. For those of you complaining about waiting, while your waiting why don't you look up the definition for "emergency" and see whether the reason you are in the emergency room requires immediate attention! The odds are pretty good that there will be someone else in the emergency room that needs more attention then your reason for being there. Just be patient and be thankful that the reason you are there is not a life or death situation. Even though it might seem like it is serious to you, there are more serious situations going on.
You don't know what people r feeling. U may be educated enough to know if u need to go to the ER or not. But not everyone is. They have every right to go in & b seen. And this is CARRIZO not SA. SA has over a million people, over the few thousand in Carrizo? It should NOT take so long to get someone seen. Especially if its something "simple" like a cough. Send em back prescribe em something n move on! A few months ago my son stuck a hard candy up his nose to far for me to get out.(& don't act like I'm a bad parent for it cuz it could happen to anyone!) we waited so long the candy dissolved n he sneezed it out... All they had to do was get him in, get it out & make sure there was no serious damage. After I told them it was out they still wanted to send him back? Y? Because they would have been able to charge me for a visit wen they didn't do shit. & at that I probably would have had to wait another 4 hours for the doctor.

CNAs and Nurses work at the hospital because its an easy job. There's not much to do because its so small here. They have become lazy & used to the laid back setting at the hospital. Not all of them. But most.

That is correct, I did say stop complaining and do something about it. For it being a hospital yes they do need to hire ppl that are going to do the job and have pride when they are doing it. A lot (most) of those who still reside there will never move because that is home to them. It isn't right that they should pay tax dollars and have selfish careless ppl working at the hospital. I myself have family that still resides there. I on the other hand no longer reside there and refuse to ever move back to Carrizo. Carrizo is nothing but drama and ppl love to talk **** about everyone but themselves.

I very much agree with you about it being the ppl. The thing is, there's alot of low life ppl with their hand out and think that the world revolves around them. I'm 27yrs old and have been out of there for 11yrs now. I'm so happy that I got out of there when I did. Those that complain and are constantly talking **** are the one's who need a reality check and grow up. They need to grow up and realize that their the problem. That their or people just like them are the one's bringing that town down. And that's in most cases not all. One things for sure, things will never change around there until something's done about it.

What the Emergency Room needs is ppl that knows what they are doing. not just seat behind a desk looking like an OWL with attitude. The hospital will never be the same like when we had anglo nurses that knew what they were doing. This nurses had knowledge common sense an dress an behave like an Lvn.

I agree, the ER wait here in SA is wayyyy longer than the one in Carrizo. Especially if you go to University. I suffered from spinal problems after I had my son and was paralyzed from the waist down. I went to University ER and was given a wheelchair, bed pan and was told to wait till they could see me. I waited half the day in the waiting room next to a woman that vomited every 2 mins and a man with a severe head wound and missing ear. It felt like I was just a ER number in a sea of numbers. Ppl slept on the floor cause they waited so long.

You people that think the hospital is complete crap are a bunch of uneducated idiots. Can the employees be bitchy sometimes, yes but until you've dealt with some of the things that they deal with then you need to quit complaining bc they do provide a beneficial service to the community. As far as them "stuffing their face", do you expect them to just not eat at all? More often than not they do not get a lunch break do they have to eat when they can while working. If anything you (general you) should thank them for the work they do do and for working hard to support those of you on government assistance. The ER does work hard and so do the rest of the departments like lab, radiology, & L&D. And if you think they "help people die", you tell that to them on the days where patients come in coding and the ER spends more than the average time trying to bring the patient back. You wont see that most places, most facilities/Drs call it a lot sooner than Dimmit.

Let me tell you that when someone feels really sick an end up in the emergency room, the last thing this patient wants to see is the employees stuffing their face. We all know they have to eat but to chose to eat when someone else feel like they could be on there last day. this is very unprofessionl an very cold an uncaring an unhuman.

First of all, yes I am an employee and most of this crap your talking about is not true. I see everything first hand. ER workers don't give a crap most of the time. If your a repeat patient for the same thing, they title you as a faker and stuff u with water, while you think it's medication. They tell you the same thing as the last time and send you on your way. While all along you might be sick of something that you don't know about. They love to sit there and talk about everyone and anyone that comes in there to get treated. Especially if your a women in need of help. If your a man, with a good job, good looking they would be glad to flirt with you and take you in quick. yes most of the time they sit behind the counter and pretend to know what they are doing when all along they don't know shit. I think it's pretty sad that the best supervisor that er had actually step down when she was the only one that cared enough to know her job. Now look who is in charge-MARGARET VALDEZ-please. While all along Mr. Flores is only worried about $$$$ not the hospital and how bad it really is. Take a good look people, that hospital is in major need of a whole new staff!!

the problem with most of you people that are bad mouthing the hospital is that you all go for non emergency problems and expect to be seen fast like if you were dying. I have gone there with my family members in the past when they were really sick and got very good service. i would rather go to carrizo then uvalde or eagle pass because i have also gone there and have waited for hours so you see the emegency rooms were made for emergencies not for cold and coughs. You all are just a bunch of haters because you all have nothing better to do and bad mouth the hospital and when you all have real emergencies you all end up in the local hospital and your lives get saved. so instead of bad mouthing the hospital you all should be happy that you all have hospital here that at some point or another has saved someone in your family's live
You wouldn't be saying that if you lost a family member. THey did nothing but let a loved one die. MURDERERS! Incompetent doctors.

You went to the wrong hospital. I have been to Methodist many times with family and it was done fast each time.
