Vote for me Joel Gonzales. I promise to keep good honest people down. I promise to hire Choclate, Juan Rios, and Chris Castaneda so they can do my job for me, while I train cops in Mexico. I promise to try real hard to hear the good citizens of Dimmit county crying as the scum like Marion Boyd take over. I hereby promise to also lick Monsters balls. I will also get herpes from Alicia and spread it to all the jail staff. Men and women alike. I'm Joel Gonzales vote for me as your criminal. Oops. I mean Sheriff

Joel Gonzales does not need Chocolate, Juan Rios and Chris Castaneda to do his job. You obviously do not know have a clue that the office of Dimmit COunty Sheriff will be ran professionally and certainly will not put up with people of your quality nor mentality.
You sound like a mental case that should seek help "ALAMO" along with a mouthwash job.

Im sure Joel will not only keep the current deputies but if he hires news they will good officers or if not given the proper training. I am sure there are plenty of good officers out there that can do the job a lot better for the same pay.

oh and the commisioners need to get their fingers out of thier asses and improve the sheriff office by approving the hiring of more deputies, this department should have at least 20 deputies in all

Commissiones could care less about the Citizens" all they care is there own pay check, and we the voters are the ones that elected them, we need to replace them and vote for new ones every chance we get. HMMMMM is right we need more deputies we hardly ever see any, but with the few we have is impossible for them to be seen especially if they have 2 deputies working at a time.

undecided is right and hmmmm is also right about the lack of deputies but remember the sheriff has had 6 years to increase the deputies and it has not happened. Maybe we need someone else that won't take politics at heart and force the commissioners and the county judge to do what is right. Remember the people also elected two new commissioners as well as a sheriff. That should tell the commissioners and the county judge if nothing changes they will be next. I have heard that gonzales wants to make those changes. I don't know if he can but the current sheriff and the write in candidate have had 6 years, why can't we give this guy a chance just like we did Samples its only fair. No disrespect to the write in candidate but the people have already voted and they want someone with experience to handle thier money. He only has 4 years at best and that is not enough. My son is a police officer of 6 years and he told me that at 6 years he is in no way ready for that type of job and he works in San Antonio. No disrespect but I am voting the smart way. Its Gonzales and if he does not do the Job then it will be somebody else the next time. But I strongly feel that the people want to give Gonzales that chance.
