Slow the F*ck down!!!!! Our mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, and friends are on OUR roads. You came into our town and turned it into chaos. Is getting to your location worth a life? Get the f*ck up earlier. We have no choice but to put up with you. Looking forward to the end of this boom so yall can go back to wherever it is you came from.
Wish we had some decent, competent, and dedicated cops to help with the traffic situation. Instead they're parked at their homes and restaurants waiting on a female fight to break out so they can all show up and hope to catch a glimpse of a tit. Fat useless pieces of crap.

I commute to carrizo springs every week and have to live here during the week. I see my family twice a week. These people that work here need to slow it down. I haven't seen a cop in 6 months but today they all came out to that accident. Where they been hiding? Sh!ts not worth dying for.

Cops here are a joke. Their fat asses need to be on 83 where everyones hauling ass. And DPS too! Alright with the overweight permits and missing mud flaps. Stop those that are driving at deady speeds. What chance do we stand... a family vehicle vs. an 18 wheeler? The truckers' gonna walk away without a scratch while a family is torn apart.

Yes all this is sooo true. These commuters are even using the new center turning lane as a passing lane. Everyone just needs to SLOW DOWN.

They are easy to spot . Just look for nice trucks and imported vechicals. Write down the plate numbers and call the police. you can request a copy of the report for a small fee. The report should tell you the name and make of the car or truck like the year and color. The dudes address may no be in the report .Just keep checking WAL -MART , HEB AND THE BARS SURE TO FIND HIM IN SIDE ONE. TELL HIM WHAT YOU GOT IN MIND BEFORE THEY RUN OVER YOUR CHILD. They are always in hurry to see the SANCHA OR GET BACK TO THE RIG IN TIME !

FINALLY, using this site to make a difference by puting your opinions on here istead of a dam gossip. I am a mother that travels very moring to work and drop off my child at school. from the moment I leave my home, I pray to god we make it to our destination And don't stop praying till I get there. and again on my way home. We were not use to this type of traffic and it has taken us time to get adjusted to it. Lossing a life on the hwy it terrible, because a whole family, a whole community get heart broken when all it could of taken was for all the people to slow down so we can all survive. We can't only blame the new people for all of this because they are also here to make a living but we can start showing respect for the other drivers on these hwys.

To start off we don't have enough cops,THANKS to some COMMISSIONERS and OUR COUNTY JUDGE. I think we need a cop to direct ALL the big trucks that drive thru Pena and even Nopal St to use the loop, wasn't that the purpose of it?? That's why when a person stays in office too long they don't see the needs of the community anymore cuz it becomes a routine with all the going ons around them/us. I could go on and on but......???

Everyone needs to slow down. Even the people who are frm Carrizo. Thy see a truck coming and thy still take off. Wait for the traffic to pass and thn go. We all want to blame the oil riggers but we to need to slow down and watch out for traffic. This is why accidents are occuring. If u see a truck or car coming in full speed just wait for it to pass dont go or you too will die.

Everyone just needs to slow the f@#k down. I depend on my car and these roads to get to work so I can make money to support my family. Its called being a responsible adult. I'm 31 years old and have a wife and 2 kids to support with another on the way. I risk my life every day just to make a buck. Its not supposed to be this way. I knew that boy that was killed today. I have the same boss. I was going to the same place he was going. I saw his dead body in his mangled car he worked hard for. These oil field workers need to pull their heads out of their asses and learn how to be responsible adults. We are all here for the same thing people. To live, to work and to be happy. Let's do something about it.

This community needs to come together to organize some type of boycott to slow these people down or to get some DPS out there monitering traffic..we can't change the past but we can sure as hell prevent it from happening again! Remember our loved ones are using those same roads and highways.

If this young man would of been patient and waited for the truck to pass instead of trying to beat it he would still be alive. Lets stop putting the blame on the drivers too. People need to slow down and others need to be patient and wait for coming traffic. Everyone is rushing to get to their destination instead of waiting.

That comment is sooo cold-hearted. Im from Dimmit County and dont even know the person who died but I surely feel sorrow and send my deepest sympathies and prayers to his family. I wonder if you would still feel the same way if it was one of your loved ones in that accident. Probably not. You sound, sorry to say, like such a jackass.

First of all it was unfortunate what happened to that young man, but witnesses that were ACTUALLY THERE know that it was NOT the mans fault, the young man, may he rest in peace, turned trying to beat the truck and unfortunately he didnt make it. Yes it is a shame the loss of a young life and only God knows why he was killed in such a manner, however it is not only the oilfield workers who need to slow down and take caution, it is also us local people. Everyone needs to stop blaming JUST the oilfield people because not all are irresponsible.

Sounds like you're related to "oilfield outlaw" or possibly the same person by the way you comment. Yes it's true, he should've waited his turn and not try to beat oncoming traffic but you don't need to sound so inconsiderate. Saying "lol" to a person who has just died is so uncalled for. He might not feel it but think of all his family and friends that will. You're a dumbass. May God have mercy on your soul, you cold-hearted bastard.

Welder should have been going at a speed where he could have had time to stop and not impact so hard. Appartently, the welder was coming faster than the young man thought. And if all these riggers hadnt invaded our town, we wouldnt have to be trying to beat oncoming traffic. You have to wait forever before you get a chance to make a left turn. Its bad enough when you cant even go to HEB without being sexually harrassed but when they are speeding and cutting people off, thats when things get deadly.
