I have on numerous occasions passed a Border Patrol unit between Cheto and Carrizo and seen the passenger sleeding in the unit. I talked to one of the mechanics at the station and he told me you would not believe the damage these guys do to government property and vehicles. It is obvious that they cannot secure out border by the influx of immigrants crossing day to day. My question is who is responsible for all of the damage these agents do. Are they held accountable for their actions? I have heard several agents laughing about the damage they do. I personally do not find it amusing since it is my tax dollars they are wasting. I am sure there are some good agents but there are far more bad ones......
Well, maybe the damage is caused by having to go offroad?

I agree with the sleeping part. I should know. But as for the damages. They do have to go off road most of the times. Have you ever been to those ranch dirt roads? I'm not talking about the ones close to the main roads but the ones that are like 5 or even 10 miles from the nearest road. It's like driving though brush, wait they do. The point is that they do have to get onto offroads that are nearly inaccessible to others. It is stupid that they play super troopers and joke about their work but out of all of us, who doesn't?

Correct me if I'm wrong.

BP agents sleeping? Why not stop, wake them up, and proceed to the BP station and report it to a supervisor. Damage to the vehicles? They are responsible for the damage to the vehicles. They do not mistreat their vehicles or play super troopers in them. Remember, they are federal agents, they have backgrounds run on them, and they have to pass several mental and physical tests before being admitted to the academy. Thanks to them we are safer today than without them. PS, I have alot of BP friends that are supervisors here and agents.
Everyone around here knows that an easy way to make a lot of money is to become a teacher, a nurse or a border patrol agent. Why do you think that most bp agents are married to teachers or nurses. It's all about the money. Nobody becomes a teacher because they want to "work with kids". Nobody becomes a nurse "because they like helping people". And nobody becomes a BP agent because "they want to keep the nation safe". The people that chose those jobs for those reasons were the ones that did those jobs back when the pay rate was low but they knew the importance of those jobs. Now there is a lot of money in those fields, and everyone wants a part of it. I've seen some nurses around here that wouldn't give me the time of day unless they were being paid for it. Let's see how many of them stick to their oath and pull over to help an injured person on the side of a road. They don't teach humanity in school.

I didn't know people out there thought that teaching was "easy." Are you kidding? You have been misinformed. It's not easy. The classes are huge, the parents are a lot more rude, lots of single parents, young parents, poverty is high, students who have no respect for authority, students aren't "spanked" like the old days, and ah, dealing with multiple personalities in staff.

Is it true that there are alot of Agents in the Carrizo Springs Sector that are coke heads? I read one of the other posts and saw the accusation. That is really sad. I know alot of Agents around Carrizo get arrested for DWI but did not know about the drug problems. That is really a terrible thing but it goes to show that they are desperate to hire a body and do not screen the applicants like they should. That is a terrible thing, there is no telling what kind of people they are hiring.
This is stupid

If its so easy, we would have alot more teachers, BP Agents, and nurses. More than half of this town is uneduacted and its not because they can't its because they dont want to. Trust me, there are alot of resources out there that one can use to pay for college, gas, bills...MRGDC...they help!! So why not advertise and instead of sayin its the easiest thing you can do, go out and do something about it and bring as many ppl as you can to become teachers, BP Agents, and nurses. Since im assuming u are educated..well HOPEFULLY...because i wouldnt expect to be hearing this type of comment from someone who knows nuthing about education...

Try working odd shifts and walking in the dark through the brush by yourself. Their human and of course their going to get sleepy at night. All the damage they do to the vehicle, i would think is because the don't have time to take their time to drive 10 mph to chase someone thats going70 or 80 mph.

Try applying for a BP position to see how long it takes for you to get hire because they screen you for top to bottom and the last time i checked drinking is not against the law. My second suggestion is for you to apply for BP since your sure it's so easy and they take anyone and i'm more than sure you'll pass the drug and alcohol test coke head...

I personally know most of them and your not even close to the facts. Most of them are nice ladies. Just because you think you know them doesn't give you the right to draw your own conclusions. And if the agents cheat its because theirs alot of desperate bitches in this town, thinking the agents are going to leave their wifes for a POW Putas On Welfare. Ring any bells? And if they make good money it's because they work hard for their money and their not siting around waiting for the government to support their ass like you.

I think we should give these guys some respect. And I ask you to answer 2 questions.

1. Would you be willing to chase groups of 10-20 people, who do not belong in this country at 3 A.M., in some of the deepest, darkest brush in South Texas?

1. Would you spend 20 plus years of your life doing this?
