1. It can cause increased heart rate.
2. It can cause irritation to the lungs and respiratory airways.
3. Pot smoke contains cancer-causing chemicals (known as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons).
4. It can trigger a short-term drop in the hormones that direct growth and development.
5. It lowers sperm production in males, resulting in fewer normal sperm cells.
6. It tinkers with the balance of hormones that control the menstrual cycles of girls and women.(researchers suspect that young people risk possible long-range developmental problems. As a precaution, they warn kids to avoid pot to reduce the risk.)
7. Pot tilts the balance of chemicals in the brain that regulate mood, energy, appetite, and attention.
8. It affects learning and memory processes, and can cause forgetfulness and reduced concentration.
9. Pot also reduces logical thinking and calculation skills, and can impair a user's ability to perform complex tasks, including driving a car.
10. Scientist say smoking a joint is equivalent to 20 cigarettes in terms of lung cancer risk, and they have warned of an “epidemic” of lung cancers linked to cannabis.

Not a very cool thing to expose a helpless 2 month old infant to.

Get a grip people, It's pot. It's weaker than the beer that is available everywhere. Have you ever seen anybody passed out in the floor with a joint hanging out of their mouth?
You all try to demonize marijuana but everybody knows that it is totally harmless. That baby's care or safety was in no way threatened and you all know it.
Grow up and get your hate in check. You make yourselves sound like backward ignorant fools!
Oh, so are you saying the police were wrong in removing the child from the home where drugs were being sold and probably used by the parents? A child's parents shouldn't be impaired on anything, even pot, while trying to care for their baby. Do you think the police should have just left it there like that? Crazy! People who endanger children are the lowest trash there is. We'll see what the judge has to say about it to them when their court date comes up. Can't wait.

Where exactly did you get these fact's? From a government commissioned study perhaps?

Marijuana is a name created to help demonize cannabis to accommodate Dupont's plan to replace hemp rope used by the Navy, with their new synthetic fiber "nylon".
Cannabis either cures or alleviates the symptoms of 17 different diseases!

I have a friend and know another person with Multiple Sclerosis and they would be completely miserable without pot. Their tremor's are nearly completely eliminated by cannabis use.

The only 2 true fact's on that list are #5 and #7 (however it does not cause "abnormal" sperm cell's)

I smoke pot and it helps my focus and concentration enormously!

Why don't you post the side effect's of alcohol use?

It would take this entire page yet it's totally legal and accepted.

I agree with you completely. I pray they have a good long time in jail to contemplate the error of their ways.

i use to be a pot smoker when i was in my early 20's ( i never touch pot anymore ) and believe me one thing it never did for me was help my concentration. it caused me to wreck once, thank goodness i didnt hit anyone else. ive never heard anyone ( and i know many people who have smoked it ) who said it helped them concentrate on anything, lol. just the opposite. yeah, alcohol is bad too. so no one should be drunk or high while raising a baby, i agree with vicco woman. if you are caring for a baby you shouldnt be high on anything at all. and that mom tried to act like on t.v. that she didnt think she could get her baby took for what they were doing or some sort of stupid thing like that she said, that's baloney. if she was really that dumb then she didnt need a baby in her care no way. everyone with a functioning brain cell knows its illegal to sell or smoke pot around here. duh. so stupid.

They need to clean up all Gorman Hollow. All day people are running from house to house getting and selling pills. They all need a job and make an honest living. It's sad some people try to live right and have to live among people who don't have a life but to do pills and steal from the working people. .....I can name off two couples who need to be called on............they are all a sorry excuse for even living. i can't wait until they all get locked up and their children took from them...........

amen to that. i have heard that its getting bad there. i hope all the dealers and addicts up there get busted especially the ones with kids. those kids deserve better than to be raised by parents who take and sell drugs.
