So you practice breedism and animal cruelty.

So you kill innocent animals for fun. You should be arrested and tried.

It would never get the chance, Bring it on.

Owning a pit bull is not only irresponsible, it's selfish to put a dog before a human's life. My neighbor had a pit bull. He thought it was so cool to have such a powerful, unpredictable beast. He thought it made him look super manly. I told him to keep it out of our yard, he would always say, "rocky wouldn't hurt a fly. He'd lick you to death before he bit ya!". Well, that super friendly pit bull saw me unloading my son from his car seat. It came running and growling at us. I threw my son in the car and jumped in. That crazy dog attacked the car window. I climbed in the front seat and backed down my drive. I then called my neighbor. I told him the story. He said, "that never happened. You must have aggravated him in some way." My neighbor doesn't own a pit bill anymore. It came in my yard three days later, and I unloaded a gun into every square inch of its body. It wasn't getting another chance to attack my family again. Once was enough. I called my neighbor and told him to come get his dog off my property.

You can only get away with that because it was in your yard. You do that outside of your property and you're at fault.

And just because one was like that doesn't mean they all are. I know many that are fine.

There were 34 dog related human deaths reported in 2012. 13 of those were caused by Pit Bulls or 38% of all dog related deaths. Even the Rottweiler is responsible for a distant 9% in it's rating as the 2nd most deadly dog to humans.(U.S. National Statistics Council) So out of 150 different registered breeds, Pit Bulls were responsible for a disproportionate number of deaths. It's not that the breed can not make a good pet, they can. It is that these dog have so much more killing potential. If my Jack Russell has one outburst of aggression, provoked or otherwise, the outcome might be broken skin on the leg or hand. If a Pit Bull attacks only once in it's lifetime, death or permanent disfigurement is far more likely. They are huge liability to their owner. With all the breeds registered with AKC or UKC, I have to wonder why on earth a person would choose this breed.

I find that viewpoints along the lines of HooDeeDoo's are usually from people who have seen only the side of pit bulls that they choose to see. This is usually the side based in ignorance and fear. if you Fear them, you will only see the statistics that show negatively on the breed.

I do not disagree that Pit bulls have the potential to be aggressive and dangerous dogs. refuting that would be very ignorant, but what truly is a travesty for the breed is that many people only see teeth and snarls. Similar to a gun used in a bank robbery, the witnesses will often not be able to describe the assailant saying that all they saw was the gun. likewise with pit bull attacks on humans, all they look at is the breed. negative connotations by the public and media at large lead many to see only that while as i'm sure many of you have heard and brush off as BS, It's not the Dog, Its the Owner/way they are raised.

in Fact PitBulls are the optimum Family Dog. More so than any of the "Lab" Breeds. in Many Many Many instances, Pits regularly score better in temperament tests than the Tried and True Labs and Retrievers. This statistic also includes subcategories relating to "Behaves around Children" and Behaves around other animals".

Pitt bulls are the most loyal dogs you will find and they live to please those they love. This is shown in both the AKC and UKC's recognition of "Superdogs" that are Champions of every category available for competition. Wouldn't you know it a large percentage of those dubbed "super dogs" are in fact of the Pit Bull breed. They just want to make their owners happy and it shows. Pits are Loyal Loving Friendly Protective, and usually have an Awesome personality to boot. Being a Pit owner myself, i do not find it in the least bit surprising when i am able to say that i have never met someone who owns or has owned a pit bull who didn't love them as a breed.

Another amazing aspect of the breed is their ability to be adopted. Yes, Pits are illegally bred and trained to be vicious attackers and to be used in dog fighting arenas, but many are the stories of dogs that have known that life for all their life and when taken and placed into new loving homes, quickly become a loving member of the family; loved by all (especially the kids0 and happy to have a home and owners who love it.

That said, i understand if you have had a previous encounter with a dog that left a sour opinion of the breed. there may not be anything anyone can do or say to change that, but if you simply harbor opinions based on here say stories and the portrayal of the breed in the media, i Challenge you to look past that at the dog itself. Look at its desire to please its owner and the happiness it gets from doing so. Look at the happiness it brings its owner by being such an awesome dog. If It seems to be a vicious dog and is acting aggressive, please take a look at the owner as well for the way their Pit acts can tell you a lot about them as people. and lastly, if you're unsure about how you feel or wish to find out for yourself, i encourage you to take the leap and adopt the best friend you will ever have; a friend who can hopefully change your opinion and you life forever.

@ Hoo Dee Do
you are the village idiot.
Based on how you comment I have almost no doubt you did aggrivate the dog and you chose to aggrivate it and then make proud claims that you shot every inch of it. You are a doooosh bag.

There are many dangerous dogs, I have had beagles, labs and chihuahuas. I found my lab to be unruly and my chihuas many times toop swipes at my kids, therefore I rehomed them. I currently on a pitbull and if you had half a brain and some common sense you wouldnt talk as you do.

In my experience as a dog owner there are bad owners but rarely bad dogs. I hope you never own a pet as it would be as unbalanced and disfunctional as you are.

There are 'game bred' pitbulls and then there are regular ptibulls.
Some (more so the reds) tend to be game bred and although many are not agressive an idiotic owner someone like yourself could create an imbalance thus creating an unpredicatable dog.
Often the dog is not unpredicatable to the owner as it is fiercely loyal breed, however it can be to others.

Go target the idiots that breed fighting dogs and game bred dogs and those that buy into it. They are a VERY small percentage of pitbull owners and they are the issue not the breed you ignoramus.
I have zero doubt your also the kind of clown who would pidgoen hole black people and muslims.
You are a bonified piece of crapola, I'd like to see you try and shoot some dog or harm it off your property and see what happens to you, you village idiot.

If you had actually finished grade school and had a small amount of comprehension retension then maybe you could educate yourself.
Hopefully your son will be much smarter than his ignorant clown pappy.
