School lunches have always sucked. Give Kelly a chance. It seems you only look for any little thing.

GAL, as everyone who knows me will tell you, I'm a reasonable sort. I've always given Dianne and her stooges every benefit of the doubt. And just ask anyone how often I sought Troop's input on who should win the last school board election. To tell you the truth GAL, compared to most posters on this thread I'm like a freakin' saint. So talk to me. Tell me how long we should give Kelly.

Todd says two years and $130K of our tax dollars will bring her all the way up to "qualified". We all know what a wiz bang administrator he is - do you thin it unfair to the BQ to suggest that 9 months in she should be able to carry on the programs THAT WERE ALREADY IN PLACE ?

I'm sorry GAL, I interrupted you. Taking into account the blazing pace she's set so far how soon do you think she'll blast past "qualified" and into the heady realm of competent?

Having the school lunch menus up and running WAS one of those chances she got, she failed miserably.

Thank you Paula, thank you, thank you, thank you. Had Paula not had the integrity she does and had she not retired we would of never even seen how inept the new director was. Now that there is no one there to cover her behind we see the absolute folly of this hire.

If you paid $65,000 dollars for a car would it be okay if something as small as say a windshield wiper didn't work the first time you took it out. I think not! When you pay the money we expect to get what we pay for, you don't buy a Jaguar but they deliver a Fiat!

Pack their stupid lunches. You are the biggest bunch of whiners. No, you don't know who I am. Your kids are not made of crystal. If you don't like what the school feeds them, send them to school with brown bags full of pâté de foie gras and a crisp Chardonnay, with mousse au chocolat for dessert. Good grief. They won't starve.

I do pack my kids lunches, even though my tax dollars are going toward a wasted salary of $65,000 a year for someone who isn't even qualified to be in that position. Let's see, what else could our district do with that kind of money?

GAL, I'm glad you opened up to me. Not sure it pushed the debate forward much but like Kelly's food I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy.

It's not hate you're reading in my posts. I'm just disgusted with Dianne, Todd, Tim, and the "Jobs Are Us" BOE. They take advantage of the fact that people like you are too consumed with their own lives to be concerned that a few greedy public officials are lining the pockets of their family and friends with taxpayer's money. They count on your indifference to get away with the kind of junior league graft that they make their political living on.

Over the years I've witnessed what's happened to innocent people's lives when they've had the misfortune to come into contact with the hiring policies that have devolved into SOP at Fox. I saw what it did to the nursing staff when an incompetent BOE relative was promoted over more qualified nurses, and given a raise far beyond what her value is to the District. I watched what it did to morale when Dianne & Todd passed over all the internal candidates who thought they were being groomed for the next assistant superintendent's job when it was instead handed to an old friend of Dianne and Tim who had been run out of his last job at DeSoto. And now I've seen what they've done to the food service department. A year ago Food Service had two degreed, certified, credentialed and experienced women running the department. Today they have the Linda Nash's daughter-in-law. Even Kelly's biggest supporter, Todd "The God of H.R." could only come up with one positive quality when she was hired. Her enthusiasm. Are you listening GAL? Her ENTHUSIASM! Now she's 9 months into the job and even with the help of two assistants she's not evenly remotely up to speed.

It's their lack of shame that makes me crazy GAL. If the BOE does anything other than fire Dianne, Todd, and Tim now then they deserve as much respect come election day as they've showed us. Absolutely none.

This has been going on for as long as the district has been around. We need to rally around any of the candidates that aren't Laughlin. He's been in on these poor decisions and is just a puppet for Taylor (the other incumbents aren't running.) Rickman, Chellew, Hudson, etc were all a part of making this problem worse with every subsequent Super (minus Bourisaw.)

Troop! You're back. I've missed you. I see while you were gone you discovered dictionaries. Good for you! With just a little more training and a tad more medication you'll be qualified to be a school board member or head of H.R.

How someone like you ever got a job in a school is beyond me. I thought you just hated women. Now it looks like we can add children to your list. Not good buddy. First of all your suggestion that we send our kids to school packing a bottle of wine is a little disturbing. And you're just digging yourself an even deeper hole when you suggest Chardonnay. EVERYBODY knows that kids today prefer Boone's Farm Mellon Ball with goose liver and mousse au chocolat. Of course if I were your kid and knew you considered me just " a freaking kid, not a rare, endangered species" I'd probably start drinking early and often and damn the vintage.

Troop, even if you're content with "just send[ing] your spawn to school and teaching 'em to eat what they're given." I'm not. Our kids deserve better than you and everyone else Dianne and Todd have dumped on them.

It's late Troop and I'm tired. But before I go just for old time's sake let me hear that old time gospel one more time. Who do you and yours support?

Could NOT stand Bourisaw. She was the beginning of the end. All she did was push a lot of paper around and pat herself on the back.

Really? Is that why her contract was renewed before she was terminated and the citizens had to buy out her contract?

Don't you think they could have gotten wise before awarding a new three year contract? Her performance review must have been pretty stellar and then all of a sudden she gets canned? I think it was proven by her attorney that she had done nothing wrong, that is why she got paid. The board was wrong for pushing their agenda and the taxpayers had to pay for it. Typical Arnold.
