What a Joke

If you would like an example of the Mayor acting in an uncivil manner, go to 23:22 in the meeting video. If you want to see that he has no control over the meeting, watch how Mary Elizabeth Coleman talks out of turn and over anybody else that happens to be speaking throughout the meeting. She hasn't learned basic decorum.
Anyone who says this MIRMA thing isn't a political stunt has to be blind. They are literally wasting the time of the insurance brokers.

At least she didn't get so out of hand and disrupt the meeting so much that the police had to ask her to leave.

If I was the guy that counts spoke to like that, he wouldn't have had to worry about me presenting to him anything.. I would have excused myself and mailed whatever it was I had. What a jerk.

Just watched the City Council video of June 27. Can anyone teach that new Ward 2 rep how to raise her hand and be acknowledged? Mary Elizabeth Coleman is very rude and disrespectful and talks all the time even speaking over the top of the mayor. She needs to learn how to act. She's obviously not learning from the other 7 people how to behave appropriately. What a shame!!!

How many aliases does a person require to make it look like people are agreeing with them? Looks like we will find out on here.

Maybe they should find out who you are and you can quit paying taxes and give up the police protection if that is how you feel about them.

I'm not scared of anything. I'm just saying if that is the way you feel about them then maybe we could let you keep your tax money and you give up the service they provide.

Unlike you, I like my police and fire service. However, if you want to give it up, feel free.

The Mayor and Chief of police need to take substantial pay decreases for poor performance. Today is as good to start the reduction.

Matt you moved to Fenton and made your choice. Why can't you leave us alone? It's because you thrive on drama. You can't cause any in Fenton so you cause it here. Go do something in Fenton and leave us alone.

You are assuming Matt is posting. Sorry, don't think it is he. Do you honestly think no one is paying attention or that you can scare someone away? Perish the thought, there will be many more people looking at the City of Arnold and writing about it for all to see.

Keep dreaming. It's not happening. You're what's called delusional.

The subject of this thread is how uncivil the mayor is to council members, people that speak at meetings and representatives of companies seeking contracts with the city. In addition, it points out how uncivil and rude the new ward two representative is, that she just talks out whenever she feels like it, interrupts those already speaking, talks over others that are speaking and does this all without being recognized from the chair, which is the mayor, proving yet again, the man doesn't have a clue as to how to run a meeting.

He has more than a clue. He just isn't running them how you would like. At least his relative didn't have to be escorted out of a council meeting because of their behavior. That's unacceptable, too, you know.

There is a decorum that is to be followed. If he doesn't know how to keep the meeting running properly according to city ordinance and Robert's Rules of Order, then someone who does know should chair the meetings. Speaking out of turn, interrupting, dressing attendee speakers down and directly addressing each other is unprofessional and indicative of someone who doesn't care to follow the rules in place. He has had more than four years to get it right, being a slow learner is no excuse for the person supposedly running the city.
