Is it a secret that the Mayor injured his ankle this weekend when getting off of the Budweiser carriage? Is it a secret that he fainted due to dehydration according to Chuck Crisler? If so, why is Phil Amato relating this very story to anyone within earshot?
Why do threads mysteriously disappear from this site when they are not favorable to the "cronies?" Who is asking for these to be deleted? There are many offensive the Prop C and Mo Senate threads and they remain.
Why does Paul Freese feel it is OK to yell at a senior citizen because the Historical Society honored Cricky Lang instead of Randy Crisler? Didn't he think Randy got enough attention? I don't recall everyone going out of their way to help the Lang family out when Cricky passed away, and there are two minor children in that case.
I have never seen someone's death exploited in this manner before. Is the "Never let a crisis go to waste" way of thinking what is in action here?

No shortage of conspiracy theories when you're around making them up, eh?

Dennis,
What part of the above is a conspiracy theory in your estimation? You tell me and then we can debate it. Just throwing random stink bombs out there accomplish nothing. State clearly what part of the above statement you consider theory and and what your version of reality is and we can go from there.

Sadly I took the time to go to the jcpenknife site that Doris recommended. It never ceases to amaze me how unkind people can be. How can people possibly resent a kindness given to a recent widow? Where are your Christian values? Doris, do you agree with these hateful comments they made?I certainly don't!

She posted the link so I would assume she does.

What comments were hateful? I think there were simply facts presented. It all goes back to right and wrong. Is redirecting taxpayer money/city funds to an individual, family or private organization right or wrong? Is it the purpose of the City of Arnold, with taxpayer funds, to bestow kindnesses in the form of monetary proceeds from a city sponsored event on an employee/appointed/elected member's bereaved family? Or is that the purpose of the life insurance premiums paid on their behalf? What is your purpose in asking where MY Christian values are? Why should that have anything to do with this? Discuss the issues and try not to interject your emotional or religious beliefs into the debate, this is not about individuals.

first Doris you might want to get your facts straight big brother is not chuck . Big brother is the oldest brother.as for the thread about what happened to the mayor being taken down I don't know and I don't care. As far as other threads being taken down were you were bashing on my brother that was done by me. If you have a problem with it you can come find me at the memorial golf tournament this weekend. now I did not know crikey but was there any festivities back in February that they could have done something for her. randy passed away two weeks before Arnold days. as I was hanging out with Paul the majority of the day leading up to the parade I personally never saw him once yelling at a senior citizen for honnering crikey. if this is your way of just having to be center of attention it is sad and I do feel sorry for you Doris.

So let me understand this correctly. Taking money via taxes by threat of violence by the state if you don't give them up to give to a private individual is a Christian value? On the other hand, those that take forcefully from others, rather than voluntarily giving themselves, do exhibit Christian value? I think you're a bit confused and that would explain why this country is in such a mess. A Christian value would be exhibited if those in charge reached into their own pockets and donated their own money, rather than someone elses money.

If you think this parade was put on for randy, I think your wrong, I'm not trying to be rude big brother but it is what it is. Randy's kids all but one are grown. Big enough to help support the family. One of them is having her own baby and we should support her financially?

The bottom line is , here in Arnold, you get more if you run with a certain group. If you don't its a different story. This makes people angry. Not at your brother but at the people who run this city. It may look like some simple flowers or a simple car show that funds are coming from but there are laws that must apply.

If the council wanted to send flowers, great, open their wallets and pitch in to get those flowers. Tax dollars are not meant for this.

If Paul did say something to Bernie I'm sure she would tell you. And why would Paul care is Cricky was honored? If he did so he should be ashamed as well.

Well then, let me apologize, you must be Doug! Every poster on here is not automatically me. So don't assume I was bashing your bother. It is a fact that Mr. Freese was yelling at Bernie Wilde for honoring Cricky instead of Randy. Please do not feel sorry for me, I do not want anything from you and definitely no pity. Although your brother and I disagreed on some things, there are many others on which we agreed. I truly meant what I said in the get well card that I had hand delivered to his hospital room, unfortunately the doctor's were unable to put him on the road to recovery.

To see Arnold Granny refer to someone else's Christian values makes me laugh. It implies she and her family have some.

I have gone back and forth on whether to post on this site as their seems to be so much negativity on here and I try to ignore things that are said. I understand this thread for some is about the legality of the Crisler Family receiving funds from the car show. I am not even going to act like I know the answer to that question but what I can contribute is the people that participated in the event knew where the funds where going and still did not have a problem with entering it. Also it was mentioned that why should the city be funding to help his 21 year old pregnant daughter. Well the answer to that is simple, they are not. She is a married self sufficient homeowner that will not see any of those funds that is why the money was going into a trust for Randy's 13 daughter. Also was said that do we really think the parade was for Randy. I can't believe someone would actually think that. Of course not. Did the family have a moment in his honor during that parade, yes. To say that his death is being exploited, well I really don't have the words to express how hurtful that is. Their are many people who loved Randy and want to show what he meant to them by helping with fundraisers and I understand that he was disliked by some by the things I can still read on this website. Just know the family is still grieving and reading things that are posted, good, bad or just plain ugly just to feel connected to him in some way. I don't write this to add any more fuel to already raging fire but just bring any form of clarity.

I will say that I was standing in line for the parade and it was close to the Historical Society (I know because I saw Bernie in her historical dress). I did not hear any yelling. Was this before the parade started?

I would think that with how close I was to them that if he "yelled" then I would have heard it. Are you sure he didn't just say something in passing and this is being blown out of proportion?

I heard him ask why Randy's name wasn't on there too. They said they only do it for elected officials. And he just reminded them he was elected 3 times but it was ok cause they had a sign for him. Just so we have our facts straight.
I think you hit the nail on the head ArnoldCC.

Don't really care what you say you heard, the fact is Mrs. Wilde feels that she was yelled at by Mr. Freese. If he wants to pick on senior citizens, he needs to think again. Mr. Crisler was not elected at the time of his demise. Just so you really do have your facts straight.

So now she "feels" like she was yelled at. Well, fact is then that most likely she is making a mountain out of a molehill because you now have two people saying that she was not yelled at, and the fact is what matters. You said earlier to take the feelings out of it yet you interject them here when it benefits you.

And you are playing a game of semantics with the word "elected". They both served the community and that is all that matters. Do I feel that Cricky isn't getting as much attention? Yes. But it shouldn't diminish or overshadow the attention Randy is getting. Maybe Randy knew more people in the community because of his job. The fact that political games are attempting to be played over a person's passing is sickening and it should be stopped immediately.

This behavior is really bad for the family. Instead of decent memories of the community and how they helped they now have memories of Doris, Matt and JCPenKnife attacking everything that is done for his family by his friends and disparaging him after his passing. You all should be ashamed of your behavior.

Why should Paul question anything the historical society does? Is he their boss? Sounds to me like harassment. Better get an attorney.
