Just another reason to get rid of the Bayshore apartments. Meth labs, heroin addicts, break-ins, and now brawls. What a great place to live and raise a family.

Isn't there something the police or council can do/enact to stop this and clean up those apartments to make it safe for everyone?

You would think that they would do something more than they are doing now. I've lived near them for 34 yrs and haven't seen any improvement whatsoever. You might see a patrol car drive by once in a while. The thing that drive me crazy is you will see them shooting radar more at the bottom of the hill on telegraph than driving through there looking for this type of criminal activity. What they need to do is just set up shop right there in the parking lot and walk around. Call me crazy, but these people don't like the police, so if there is more of a police presence the less of this will take place.

I don't know about their presence driving the crime away. Aren't they at Value Place and still there is crime there or did they leave that up to management?

Well I used to see a patrol car there but now I don't so I'm not sure. All I know is that both of those places(bayshore apts and value place) and the Crosswinds apartments are definitely places they need to address for the safe of the citizens of Arnold.

Let me count right.....five kids plus two adults in an apartment that is maybe only a one to two bedroom apartment....if so, then this is in violation of the Arnold Occupancy restriction for the numbers of residents allowed per apartment or house based on total square feet. Where are you sleeping lady....in the closet??

File an injunction against the owners of the apartment complex, hold their feet to the fire. If you don't get reasonable compliance, shut them down.

Listen the problem with this whole conversation is where the frame of mind is. I lived across the street from those apartments my whole life and i have observed that the drugs come from the apartments just down the road. As long as there is a cash flow the dealers will remain but if we take out the supply then that is a start.

Bayshore Apartments are in foreclosure and the bank is running the place now. They are starting evictions and are talking to several prospective buyers and management companies to take over.
Numerous arrests have taken place and as Doris stated the problems have started to taper off. This includes the problems in Bayshore subdivision. From everything I have heard, the police department is taking a very active pro active approach on trying to help clean all of this up.
