Carolina Shores commissioners will allocate $30,000 next year for the Calabash Combination Fire Department, but only with strings attached to make sure the department is held accountable. via Myrtle Beach Online

I would hope the funds were used for the hiring and retention of quailified firefighters.Not to fuel the Chief's car so he can go to eat in Myrtle Beach restuarants or attend the many festivals in the area.Or to buy used and broken equipment.
