After last year's never-ending session, state lawmakers vigorously pursued this spring's goal of getting their business done before the calendar flipped over to June.

The restaurant and bar business is on its Knees with fewer patrons and more fees so letting people smoke in a bar should be OK since the majority of them did it before the ban took effect. If NON smokers do not like it they can find another bar.
the state realizes now the sales tax revenue is taking a sharp DIVE and they really need the Money.

If something isn't done about the smoking ban frenzy, the next step will be peeping "inspectors" making sure you don't smoke in your own home. We already saw it happen with seat belt laws starting as a minor consideration if you got stopped for something else to present "seat belt check points" Once these laws start, there's no guessing how far they will go.
