Grossed out

Saint Johnsville, NY

#1 Nov 25, 2012
We ordered from Ina's in St. Johnsville tonight. We had th Ziti and my husband choked on long piece of hair that was in it. When I called and complained a manager said "Oh well this is a food company and that can happen" WHAT?!?! I was told I could go down and get something else and I said no I am not driving all the way down there. I told her it was disgusting and they should wear hair nets. Her responce was I guess we won't be seeing you again. DARN RIGHT!!! I understand it is just hair but really just wear hair nets. Just plain GROSS!!!

The law is,anyone preparing food or handling it should have a hat or a hair net on at all times. This is'nt the only place that serves hair with their food. All hair in the front and sides should be secured. If you go into a store or a restaurant and they r not wearing them, you can report them, and an inspector will visit the establishment without warning.

The establishment is only responsible if they do not inform the employees of the regs. Once the regs are explained, the employee can decide to follow or not--at which point they are personally responsible for the $50. fine!
If we are going to be picky, what about the places (esp. Pizza joints) that allow kitchen employees to wear tank tops or sleeveless shirts??? NOT allowed either... If people understood all of the regs, they probably wouldn't be eating at most restaurants!!

Sorry you are wrong. The employer is the boss and has to make sure that all workers including themselves, have on hair restraints and whatever other uniform is proper proceedure. The employer is responsible 100%,I know!

Instead of: "We are really sorry about that, we'll deliver another one right to you" -- of course not. Instead, they say that it's a food company, and that can happen?! What an a**hole thing to say, as a "business"! Yeah, that stuff does happen, but you make it right!

"And every single person is a Slim Shady lurkin
He could be workin at Burger King, spittin on your onion rings
[*HACH*] Or in the parkin lot, circling
Screaming "I don't give a fcuk!"
with his windows down and his system up...."

Watch the movie "Waiting" see some things that a lot of people do to your food that you can't even tell....
Or just eat pesticides on non organic food, lets face it....banana's really aren't that yellow and that size.
Or go to the bathroom and don't forget to take your phone in with you because of this new day age technology crackpot thought that you must be up to date with everything, anytime, anyplace. Then wash your hands but not your phone. Then use your phone again and shake someone's hand or make your own food or food for someone you love....

I understand your point. It is hair and it is disgusting, but honestly it does happen. At least they offered you something else. They tried making it right and you didn't want to drive all the way back. I understand why you didn't want to drive back but the point that they offered is obviously their way of apologizing. The health department inspects all food places once a year and Ina's even has it posted the last time the health inspector was there. Must be its not a regulation to wear hair nets dealing with food or else they would be wearing them.

B*tch b*tch b*tch. Ahhh complain all the time!!!! Everyone is always wrong but the person talking, haven't you heard? Bird....bird is the word. In the famous song, the word Bird is actually meant to be replaced with the word b*tch, or various forms of the word. But swearing wasn't allowed on the radio. The band knew this and decided it was the best route to take to get around the controversy, so the song could get air play.

I heard they are closing, the food there was so good , first few months. It's sad, I thought they would do good, but after comments and some bad takeouts, I guess the handwriting was on the wall.

Witchiepoo. Any food business in New York State must be inspected once a year by the health department. I am an owner in the restaurant business and if you don't pass the health inspector qualifications and regulations you are shut down.

So not true.I work in a restaurant where they may get inspected every 2 to 3 years.Get a clue. They must have a reason to come into your restaurant once a year.

Don't know where you work but full service establishments in NYS are required to be inspected once a year.
