I have three times drove by the old Snells thinking of getting beer or two. I saw a police car across street in bank parking and thought don't be stupid. I will never go there with that threat over my head. I don't believe in drunk driving, but having two beers ther could mean a traffic stop and embarrassment and possibly a fabricated ticket. I feel sorry for owners . You never see me there.

You're smart. The police in that wonderful town have so little to do that any minor infraction becomes a big event for them.

I happen to know the other side. The police protect and serve. They put their lives on the line to help StJ be the safe and wonderful that it is. Please recognize this.

What are you going to do, pound down two beers, RUN right out to your car, hop in, and drive off?? Why don't you sit for a while, and all will be good.. Use your head jerk off

The only way they serve the town is by serving people with tickets. Instead of harassing and fining people, maybe they should try to investigate a little harder when people get robbed of their possessions.

If you sat for a while, had a couple drinks, and a bite to eat, the alcohol would be out of your system enough

If you have 2 regular size beers.... you would have to 'hang around' for 2 hours! The town cops are obnoxious... dont tell me the serve & protect crap. That might be true for some, however these days just like everything else... the job has lost the true meaning of its reason & is all about the almighty dollar. There is ONE red light, ONE 'bar'...( which by the way, has a tendency to just close down mid-beer!)..and the town copS... yes TWO cops!.... make this their cash cow. Driving thru St. J is like running the gauntlet anyways.... try working the 4am shift at Walmart... they stop you for ridiculous 'license plate lights out'... but then send you on your way when they figure out you really are justt going to work & not screwing around... they'll find any reason at all. Happens ALL the time and nobodys speeding, drunk or has missing lights. Crazy... and sad because Freddie & Tina do have a nice place but you just cant have that beer or wine with the dinner.

How about having 2 beers, cop sees you walk in half hour later you walk out, He then stops you saying you crossed a line? He then stops you , makes you go through the routine . People driving bye , see your stopped, your talked about everywhere, Maybe I only had hamburg. Still have to go embarrassment .will never go there.let the cops get their food there, not me.

Why are cops allowed to hide on private property? In ST .J they hide at Masonic Temple, The Bank, the Car wash, The county police and State seem to always hide on public land. ST J cops also hide on church land.

Ya your right these town cops suck, all they do is give tickets, what happened to the good cops that use to give you a warning......I'd never stop to that place to either.

To expensive, how about making fries and offering a special for few bucks. Prices are to high for what you get. Inas and Grannys have better deals.

I agree the prices are too high for st Johnsville. The kids should be able to get a burger and drink for 5 dollars. Stop over charging or get out!

In fort plain if you work a 4 am shift at Walmart and pull your car in front of your home to warm it up and get the frost off the windows the cops will give parking tickets for being parked on the road some do not have driveways and have to park and walk its kind of a pain to walk over start the car then walk back over the get it leaving a car running 4 blocks from your home where you cant see it at 3 am is absurd. Power and control most of these officers do not have an associates degree or even a high school diploma
