Just another Real Estate scheme from some Real Estate Cronies.
Why should the Crafton taxpayer be suckered into paying for a white elephant? The area along Chartiers Creek lacks infrastructure like good roads and oops...guess what? Fire hydrants!
If this is for the benefit of ALL the local volunteer fire departments, put it on COUNTY property (with infrastructure and easy access) where ALL the county taxpayers participate, not just Crafton taxpayers left holding the bag.
Many volunteer departments are hurting for cash, what makes anybody think they'll willingly fork over some to Crafton Borough?
This about developing real estate and having the borough taxpayer pay the infrastructure bill.
You'd think Hurricane Ivan in 2004 would teach people a lesson about developing on a flood plain, but hey, there's a sucker born every minute.
