"Officials said the offenders won't be allowed in the community" There so full of s**t, There just telling the people what they wanna hear. What happen with the Offender that took off from the cop, Crashed a car, leaving the passenger trapped, Than fled on foot. But than again Offcials say these people are trying to clean there act up. Your right they sure are.:/ Remember People, there is a lot more that goes on there, than what hits the news.

There are no fences, gates or anything else to protect the public from these people or to keep them on the grounds there. I use to ride the bus into work but had to stop because of constantly being harrased by the ones who were allowed out. I can't count the number of times that there were issues dropping those guys off on the way home because they were on "lock down" due to someone missing.

These pre-release inmates are inmates that are being allowed to walk the streets before they are on parole or even serve their minimum sentence. They are being given food stamps and medical insurance so the Department of Corrections doesn't have to feed them or pay their medical care. Someone should really investigate the issue as it is federal policy inmates should not receive food stamp benefits but to save the State of PA Department of Corrections can save money they are....

The inmates are allowed to go out on the bus and into the city for the most part. Just look at Penn St. during the day and you'll see all these men hanging out and not doing anything. They are saying these people wont be in the communtiy, and thats a flat out lie!!

Three more just self-released themselves from incarceration

I truly believe this failed experiment in South Heidelberg is a joke being perpetrated on the citizens living in the surrounding area.

I do believe there are people in the DOC who are simply hoping and praying that no one gets raped or killed by these criminals who are free to come and go. How many promises were made to you? How many have escaped?

I suppose if that is what it is going to take..........

The joke is that the lawyers, judges, police all get more work when one of them escapes while the citizens and their children are put at risk.

You, the taxpayers, have to pay for the cops to investigate, do the paperwork, make the arrests, go to dj office, transport them to a prison, etc..you have to pay for their first incarceration then you have to repay all over again when they escape....all while being scared 24/7.

It is only a matter of time until one of them commits a devastating crime...assuming they haven't already.

All felonies have not been solved.........
