Sound like guns do kill people all by theyselves cause nobody fired this one.

Having a loaded gun in a vehicle is a no, no. No common sense.

A gun should never be pointed in the direction of anyone ever unless you specifically intend for that person to be shot. This one was. The man in charge of the gun should be held criminally responsible.

Seriously? Please explain why they were even holding a gun. Something sure sounds a little fishy.

Way too many decades ago, my gun went off accidentally many, many times in the back seat of my '49 Ford!

Long time, no see Doc. How's Argentina? I thought you drowned back in 79', but you know how unreliable Moussed is with their confirmations. As for me, I'm living comfortably in Vandergrift, PA. The whole hanging thing back in 45' was all staged.

Nothing wrong with having a loaded gun in a vehicle. I would assume you ment "chambered" but even that is not so bad. A couple boneheaded mistakes were made here. 1 the saftey was not on, 2 he was holding the gun doing whatever with it, and 3 he pulled the trigger. I can drop my pistol on the ground and it isn't going to discharge if the saftey is on, he obviously pulled the trigger. Involuntary manslaughter at the least in this situation.

The right to bear arms has nothing to do with stupidity. The NRA does not condone carrying a firearm with a round chambered, the saftey off while carelessly pointing it at someones back.

Man in the front passenger seat...his wife is driving the vehicle...another man in the rear passenger seat just happens to have a firearm...the gun just happens to "go off" and husband is now dead.

Doesn't take much brain power to see what is going on there...and the police release these people?

Many of your ASSUMPTIONS may be correct, BUT, when individuals (possibly three in this case - at least two) are drunk out of their skulls, stupid things DO happen! "Hey Bob, is this fricker loaded"? "Damn Mary, sorry for your troubles"! Death by intentional/ unintentional drunken stupor and/or stupidity. Case closed; case dismissed!

Very few guns this day and age have a safety that you wernt born with. That being said, guns dont go off on their own while just sitting there, someone fumbled up bad.
